I play classic rock, punk, metal , doom/stoner, and grunge.

Good place to show off the pedal I picked up a week ago! Black Arts Toneworks Coven double Fuzz pedal. It’s a combination of their Pharoah and Black Forest pedals. One of them is a Big Muff take off for more classic rock fuzz and the other is a straight punch in the face. I’ve gotten everything from a nice Skynyrd twangy fuzz to a ZZ Top sound, nailed the tone of Money For Nothing from Dire Straits, and Sabbath songs sound perfect. Harder doom stuff sounds awesome too :metal:

Stoner sludge? A new genre?

In the 90s maybe… Check out sleep from san fran very sabbath like. Then their is half the metal from new orleans… Then their is electric wizard and bongzilla and weedeater :joy:

Anyone invent or create a musical instrument? Trying to work on a digital guitar now.

Bunch of keys…little flipper for the pick…basically resembles a guitar hero air guitar.

Sounds like a keytar with a pock switch… Interesting…
I once made a guitar from a old neck and pickups and a cigar box for the body… Not new but surely something to laugh at :joy:

Hey Brian May made his guitar with his dad out of a fireplace mantle and filled any holes with matches. Served him well!

I randomly got the urge for some fuzz and looked into what some of my favorite bands were using. Being able to do heavy overdriven stuff was appealing but having the more mellow classic Big Muff fuzz on board was what hooked me. Friggin pedal costs as much as my amp head and I have no regrets

I use/used:
1960’s Imperial set to nashville for twang. Gretsch Historic series with flats as the work horse. Godin 5th Avenue Kingpin for sludge tones and feedback. P-Bass with added shielding for bass. Hot Spot Mic on the singing saw. Low Watt tube amps. Everything through an Angry Sparrow.

Its a fictional character from a Twiddle song.

Twiddle is good jam band music. This is not one of their better songs. But more well known song

Ahhhh you dig some drone? I had a blackened drone project called skin of evil back in the day… While recording i straight ripped my throat open and started coughing blood for like 2 days.

That’s metal as fuck lol

I like drone stuff but I don’t love most aggro vocals so it really limits me. There’s a ton of bands I’ve checked out and the music is sounding great but then the vocals just kill it for me. You ever heard of Elder? Not drone obviously but a good example of what I’m talking about. They’re one of my favorite bands but I passed on them once because he did growl stuff on the first album for some reason and I couldn’t get past it. Thankfully I gave them a second chance with a different album because he ditched that style after the first album.

I’d rather it be instrumental in most cases. Skin of Evil is a badass name btw!

Yeah its from a star trek tng episode :joy: thats how most people are with extreme metal… Ive never cared so much about the words but always heard the vocals as another instrument in the musical soundscape… Granted ill play with feedback for 20 min.
Elder is cool i have omens somewhere… Ever heard of earth? From seattle guitarist was best friends with kurt cobain even had him on an older album. They’re instrumental only from some sludgy drone to just beautiful trip music.

And this is always a favorite of mine
