Any hunters on the forum?

Hey, little fork horn is good eatin and congrats on that! Also nice start to the european mount… theres a guy up the road that people take their skulls for europeans to cuz he uses beetles to clean the skull…

Second part of duck/goose season starts on saturday and its been raining all week and supposed to be 30f on saturday morning and about the same sunday… hopefully it will be a good shoot… still local geese around that i watch hit that pond every day so i can at least take a limit of them again… havent been seeing many ducks so hopefully theyll come in ahead of this cold front

I got a Thompson BP rifle as well. I usually buy the three season tag, hunt archery muzzy and modern. It’s wicked fun. A couple years ago I tagged out on a 3x2 with my muzzy. That was memorable. One shot one kill

I got this beauty during black powder 240lbs . Fed the family and I was gonna get him mounted but decided to do a europe mount were you boil it down bleach the skull . It was beautiful . Can t find the pictures of the finish result. I let my buddy hang it at his house. Out in Massachusetts no ones hunting no more because of over priced licences and other bs . Bow season started ,I’m waiting for shotgun and black powder. I can only use a BP 50 cal gun because I got into a fight 25 years ago and they took my fid . I hate this state.

Beautiful buck, did you see the one I started work on to boil it up in the thread a bit? That’s going to look great when I’m done. We are going to boil his skull too. He popped his cherry, finally taking a big game animal. I skinned the face off mine, but they are going to have to wait a week I’m going elk hunting next.

Shaking hands with a harpy. You definitely do not want that kind of harpy pissed off at you. Don’t get me wrong, a wife can be somewhat harpy too, but not like that shit!

Yes so much meat, nothing like an elk. But that’s next. Yes he is going to be carrying the shell casing for luck for a long time. We were happy to be there for it all. Tought him to gut it and process and everything…

Which threads it on??? I def wanna check it out I love hunting ,I was born and bred to hunt. We used to have coon dogs and a couple plots .My family trapped hunted coon, minx and everything else. In the 70 s and 80 s fur was still in high demand. I was hunting on my own at 9 and 10 with a recurve bow and a shotgun ,lol If a kid tried that shit these days they d be on CNN ,LOL I loved it ,getting up at 4am and meeting up with 20 hunters family and friends to do pushes . Now everyone’s passed away or doing there own thing. I m 44 and feel like I m 90. Being in Massachusetts hunting’s slowly dying . It s depressing.
