One of my favorite things to do while smoking is playing board games. The one I play the most is Settlers of Catan, and it would be nice to play with some fellow og members.
If we’ve got some numbers we could arrange a few matches on colonist or something like that.

Same as @PatHealy , always wanted to play more but never got many opportunities.
The wife and I when were still dating bought ‘Rivals of Catan’, which is a dumbed down 2 player version and that was a lot of fun for us. We haven’t opened it back up since having the kids though haha.
We also played a couple of DnD rounds but the group wasn’t committed so it never stuck.

Never played it. I had a game called Carcasonne on xbox that is kinda similar with the addition of building the map as you play. All the reviews mentioned for people who enjoy games like Catan. Always meant to try it, just never did, I’ll have to read up on the rules and gameplay.
Whoever’s bold enough to organize and dm a DnD game and not mind a bit of handholding, I’d jump in.

You would probably like Heroscape.The boards are getting hard to find now but it was like a good prebuilt War Hammer without having to paint everything and make your own boards.My favorite were the Paratrooper unit with the cyborg samurai Sgt.When he was combined with his soldiers they had some wicked attacks

I used to play this game, thought I was pretty good too. I tried playing it on Quest VR, the computer destroys me every time.

@PatHealy @Organical It’s a really fun game, it has a component of luck, but you have to manage resources and build precisely. We could try to get online together and play a match so you can have an idea, it doesn’t take long.
@Hidden Carcasonne is a lot of fun, too! It’s highly competitive and has multiple championships. I have played at the national championship of Catan and there’s the Carcassone one going on at the same time, normally. Not quite similar, but it’s fun. There are lots of tutorials on youtube, but we could try to organize something.
@CapnCannabis I didn’t dare to get into war hammer kind of stuff, it’s a never ending hole, lmao. I guess it’s not really common in my country due to the high price to keep it growing.
@Gimme5minutes @Stu420 I’ll be pretty available this weekend and next monday, we could try to arrange a match, maybe we could make a small league and play sometimes.

My Best Buddy from high school actually made a career out of Warhammer.He was one of the early guys to do 3d printing and made his own rigs to print out the battle playsets and custom game scenario landscapes.He designed them to pop together and printed out sections of the terrain.He would lightly sand the whole thing down hit it with a primer and he would hand paint the entire thing would take him days sometimes weeks to finish a set but if you ever saw them and the detail and quality of the sets you would realize why they went hundreds of dollars.He made a very nice living off of these sets and selling MTG cards on auction when the internet came along and retired in his 30s.He was taking in upwards of up to 9000$ weekly in half payments for orders.

I’m down to give it a try, I’ll keep an eye on this thread. Would be cool to have an OG game night, we’ve got a small poker game for flips going with ~10 people using web browser software.
Those .io games are great. I bet it’d be fun to play some skribbl.io with some of the OGs.

Could you Imagine an O.G D&D game night ??barebones builts with a randomizer pick for rolls for stats to get the ugly paperwork started and breath life into a character and get a party together?I think it could be done using the randomizer as a dice roll.Theres possibly here

Man, I love this game. I played it a lot in the last city I lived in. Coincidentally, this week I told my wife that I wanna buy Catan so we can play with our neighbors. I love games, board games, cards, etc.

Using the randomizer would be a pretty cool way to build character. Hell, the campaign could play out in a thread on here with the randomizer deciding the outcome.
Might be a bit of “we’re still waiting on Lord Elrig to get off work and take his turn” but that’d be part of the fun, I suppose.

That’s crazy. The craft is beautiful, I’ve seen a few videos of people working on it an I think it’s really cool. I think it’s nice that you have some stability to focus so much on hobbies to the point of making money with it. Around here it’s not such a great market.
That’s the objective, at least sometimes we could do it. I haven’t joined the poker game because I’ve got nothing to send, but maybe eventually we could have a prize for small tournaments.
It would take forever, lol, but I guess AI would be helpful to cut all those parts, even though making a character is one of the best parts of it. I’ve sorta played RPG with the whatsapp bot, it worked, lol.
Alright, our numbers are growing! Definitely a good game to share time with neighbors and friends.
You mean, text based? It could be nice so everybody could have a time window to play and wouldn’t need to gather everyone, but idk if it would work.

I play Catan and DND. I don’t want to hijack the thread so I won’t throw all the DND out there, but I DM and there’s a couple options for ways we could make an OG game of DND a reality. Even as a play when you can type option. I think it would be a blast.
