Any way to stop this?

Malawi Panama at f33 or so.
ph 5.8, calibrated.
was using floranova at 750ppm from 200ppm baseline, now using 750ppm maxibloom since it has more p/k as we are getting pretty late in flower.

newest: Yellowing from the outside-in and burning from the tips on the tops.
it even got worse over night

for a few weeks lower leaves have been yellowing and falling off
Higher or lower nutes have not changed anything.
they did go a feeding with low nutes since I was getting tip burn and some

it seems weird to have tip burn and have leaves not getting enough N.
Light is pretty good all the way down, so it’s not that.
maybe it ran out of root space.

thanks for the help.

dang it. ok. will add this one to the pk booster list.
i kept it in the long flower sativa bin and it got a low nutes feed two weeks ago and no boosters.

not sure why the lower leaves have been yellowing so much. at this rate i will not have leaves.

thanks. maybe it’s just a little hungry.

What are they growing in??

perlite, hempy. i have 11 others, no problems like this. it’s just this plant. it looked great too, still looks ok. it just might finish ugly.

Could be that particular plant is a heavier feeder than the others and I guess you’re feeding every time you water in perlite. That tip burn isnt excesssive imo and theres heaps of white pistils still so I wouldnt worry too much mate.

no, i feed every time.

Have you checked the pH of the water in the hempy?
I grow in perlite too and i find it always wants to drift up after a feed. If that plant is feeding heavier than the others it could of drifted out at the roots.
Might just need a few feeds at 5.5 pH to bring it back.

Any time I experience tip burn it’s typically one of two things.

  • Not pushing enough runoff.
  • Excessive dry backs. (Especially with perlite mixes) I only run straight Coco these days.

EC spikes can cause some serious headaches.

Is this plant looking lighter than the others on the top of your medium? Lighter in weight?

i think it drinks heavy. tonight is a feeding, so I’ll see how light it is.
i usually get a little tip burn every grow except on exceptional plants, but that’s ok.

i get something like this 1/10 plant or so.

verywell could be from drybacks in the hempy bucket.
I do give quite a bit of run off.

talking to hempy a few weeks ago, he made fun of me of having run off.

i think i was just hungry. it’s drinking a lot. so, maybe it’s hungry and didn’t get enough. and, few times it drank so much it nute burned itself. seems par for the course I guess. not sure i want to go to coco or even a coco perlite mix. i also often have root problems in coco unless i have a super small pot/cup. then i get rootbound and get root problems anyway. idk…not often, but I have even had root problems in just perlite. sometimes crap happens. so, this 1 of many plant that is feeding funny isn’t too much of a concern. I just wish if I kept this cut it wold be easy to feed. seems it won’t.
