Anyone Ever Seen This? Pink Pistils, Early Flower

Has anyone ever seen this before? Of course I lost the tag on it, and I grow a wide variety. During early flower, the pistils came out pink. Really pink. Plants covered with them.
Any ideas?

It’s not real common but not rare . Back about 1990 I had a strain that had bright pink to bright violet pistils . It was a beautiful plant . No idea what strain it was , we found someones patch that had been flattened by a corn combine when we were goose hunting . We grew it out the next year but potency was lacking compared to our own strain . Real pretty though .

Its a fun phenotype. Ive seen it many times. Difficult to stabilize.

7 East Genetics :canada: has a CDB strain “CBD Panties” that gets pink pistils.

I’ve also seen pictures of ACE’s Panama with pink pistils.

Pinkleberry was the first strain that came to mind haha super cool looking plant! Do you have any finished budshots?

What genetics are you growing?

I know there’s a mrnice strain that gets those pink pistils. They’re so pretty, does it keep those hues thru flower and cure? Or do they fade pretty quickly?

No, not yet, I took this pics like two days ago. Been strange years very late in MA, but I will keep it updated here. Thanks for your help!

AHA! I DID have some Panama red seeds this season…This might be a winner. Thanks so much for the Intel!
PS I had strain sticks and used a sharpie but all the names came off in the rain so I’m kinda lost. But most of my stuffs pretty exotic.

Ive grown some plants that had purple buds and pink pistils. Its a really rare combination of recessive traits that is almost impossible to stabilize.

Within the Valley Ice strain ive been working on, there are some plants that will have soft pink pistils. However, not all of the pistils will be pink.

Also pink pistils in the F1 Brandywine x Valley Ice

No finished shots, but this was near the end. It was a fast finisher, I remember that.

I’ve seen photos of a couple of Mr Nice strains with pink/purple/red pistils. I can’t remember 100% but I think the strains I saw were called The Doors, Nordle, and Ortega.
Not sure if there’s an environmental reason or a genetic reason, but I’ve never had any coloured cannabis myself apart from yellow fan leaves when the plant is maturing :+1::v:

this is an autoflower that i bred myself… purple ducksfoot AF with pink pistils… not stabilized but most have purple flowers with ducksfoot-ish leaves… not very strong though, dunno when or if i’ll ever get to stabilizing it or not?

Thats a crazy looking plant. Is it a dwarf auto?

not exactly, if they were grown in optimal conditions with plenty of root space they would get a fair bit bigger, but i didn’t care for yield… just wanted to find the best mother for the next generation

the genetics were started off with a small breeder called Secret Garden Seeds, nearly 15 years ago… the main guy from Mephisto used to do some grows from them, 2 strains- one called Pink Salad and the other called Ogre

so, i crossed Pink Salad to Ogre and then went a few generations of them, searching for pink phenotypes, which seemed frostier and better smell than purple… i called this cross ‘Coral’ because that was the type of flower i was looking for… pinkish-purplish colour

then there was a guy called ‘willy bibbit’ who created his own auto ducksfoot, so i used pollen from some of those males to cross with Coral…

then some f-generations of those (can’t remember how many), and some incrossing and here we are…

i most likely will get back to it eventually… if / when i resume, the next step will be outcrossing to some different, more frosty and smelly AF genetics of my own doing and then fully stabilizing…

that would be the idea anyway- peace :peace_symbol: :robot:
