I live in Panama ( actually near Paso Canoas) the border with CR

Most ex pats etc use shipping company’s to send there mail to…iE wherever she lives in CR, that town will have a agency…in Panama its Cotel …that does the Correa service.

They all as well usually accept DHL or Fed ex…about 20 bucks.

Tell her to go to the nearest post office in town and get details.

EDIT…PS if you are going to use the Costa Rican post office where she lives…all she will need is ID. A passport or if she is Tico her cedula be fine…
But do use a bit of stealth.

There getting a surge in Covid just now …hope she stays safe.

Bueno suerte

Costa Rica is a beautiful Country…wi beautiful people…I visit a lot.

But I am afraid like Panama.
Now is not the time to visit.

What are the restrictions?

There’s no need for a negative Covid-19 PCR test result as there was initially. All passengers must fill out a Health Pass before travel. The website gives a QR code that you should show on arrival.

Tourists traveling to Costa Rica must have valid travel insurance, which covers potential quarantine accommodation up to $2,000 and medical expenses of at least $50,000 related to Covid-19. This must be accompanied by a certificate in English or Spanish, giving the policyholder’s name, the dates of coverage and guarantees as stipulated above.

If you can’t get a policy that includes quarantine insurance, there are suggestions of insurers on the Health Pass website.

Residents and Costa Rican nationals may be subject to self-isolation on arrival.

The land borders, which had been closed to nonresidents, reopened April 5 to visitors not needing a visa. The previous 14-day quarantine for those entering via land has also been abolished as of April 5.

America’s CDC classes the risk in Costa Rica as “very high” and says US citizens should “avoid all travel to Costa Rica.” Even fully vaccinated travelers are at risk of catching variants, it says.

No offense …but if she is a expat in CR with no address…she be in big trouble…she must be registered wither ex pat or tourist…

This is a problem before covid…visas in Panama and Costa Rica are valid for 90 days …but overstay it …when you hit the airport in San Jose or Panama City…fines are Big.

Just saying

If she is a Tico …won’t be a problem

We were all issued with street names when Volcan and Cerro Punta became a new district .Tierras Atlas.

Even got a Nelson Mandela street.

Thank You so much. I have had both my vaccination. We don’t have to wear our mask as of this week if vaccinated.
I went to Mexico a few months ago without to much of a hassle. The hotel handled everything but a couple forms.
