Apartment no leak hydro setup

Drain to waist with a good big deposit, just in case?

Or overflow pump over a nice danish tray connected to an external security bucket?

I guess that in plumbing no leaking depend on your expertise and skills do it.
Ready made systems are relatively secure.

Thanks Rhi, I’ve been using promix and have become comfortable using it. Not minding watering everyday. It actually adds to the therapeutic side of it for me.
Appreciate the suggestion growchacho :call_me_hand:

Have you thought of Coco? It looks like soil but technically it’s hydro. Seems like a no brainer, all the yield benefits of hydro but without the pumps and timers and air-stones. Coco in self watering planters, it’s impossible to leak, the pots could literally be on the carpet.

Hey Igor :call_me_hand: thanks for the suggestion. I’ve been watching @JustANobody switch to coco with some pretty impressive results.
So I was thinking after this bail of promix is gone to go to coco. :+1: Now that I’m getting this grow thingy down
If you haven’t checked it out yet. Head on over to my journal/lounge and check out how the promix has been :sunglasses:.

Coco has been much easier than I thought it would be. I ph everything to 5.8-6.0 and let it rip.

Pro-mix run like soil-less with salts is pretty darn good too. Coco is a little less forgiving in my experience, but perhaps a little better growth rate. In the end, if your environment is dialled, any medium will perform great!

Cool, thanks, I’ll check it out. I’ve never grown in soil so I can’t compare but I’ve tried flood and drain and then Mapito in pots and coco in pots (couldn’t find any Rockwell croutons here) My first Coco run was a bit of a fail because I used cheap coco bricks and didn’t prepare it properly. Lots of dust meant Coco “mud” at the bottom of the pot with a bit of root rot. Also, I didn’t use any Calmag. Avoid those 2 pitfalls and it’s hard to go wrong.
