In my experience some of the best tasting smokes I’ve had were from apple type strains. Most breeders who work with them and produce lines speak highly of them. Butttt I never see anyone growing them, myself included. Anyone have any good recommendations on breeders who work with them? I know Clearwater Genetics has an Apple line they talk highly of and I seen Dirty Bird Genetics has an apple strain but other then that haven’t heard of many

Apple strains? There are a million good options. Clone only or seed? Maybe just focus on fruit forward terp strains. Apple specifically is something I’ve only seen in clone only.

Mostly seed but clones too. About to be moving to a legal grow state so I’ll be more into that soon. Nothing I’m looking to buy anytime soon I just like window shopping and gaining knowledge on strains lol. But like I said I just haven’t seen many people running and them and was curious why about that too.
The fruit terp space runs deep yo. Instead of asking about apple terps, consider the broader whole. Individual cuts even though they’re literally identical will have huge variations in terps.
What do you like about ‘apple’? I’ve had terps that were sharp, citrusy, tart. … apples work the same huge range.
If I were starting fresh I’d just lick a fruit forward cookies cut

I’ve always wanted a nice “apple” oriented strain 
Apple Blossom from Humboldt Seed Co caught my eye, I’ve always wanted to try it. I should probably grab some before I miss out like I did on their Very Cherry strain 
I once bought a pack just based on the name “Fuji Apple Cookie” from Native Sun Genetics/Cartier Crops. It didn’t turn out apple per se, but was a really nice fruity frosty “Cookies”-oriented expression. It was quite nice & I probably still have a few beans.
Apple Fritter Lumpy’s cut was another one I missed out on, but always wanted once I heard about it

I grew out Sowah Apple from Designer Exotics and made F2 of it. SMELLS amazing!!! It was also the 1st bag to disappear out of everything so that speak highly of the line. I cant speak bad on it beside I should have grown more

That’s a good point. The only ones I’ve had were sour and tart. But I do have to disagree about aiming at fruit terps as a whole vs just something you’re looking for in particular. The new strains now adays are on point with the terps. If it says apple and it’s made by a legit breeder it’s gonna taste like apple lol
I’ve seen that one also and forgot about it. Seems like any strain they have the terps are on point I’ve just never grown any of their stuff myself
I like apples and bananas but I’ve never gotten true apple terps while smoking it before. Apple fritter kind of the same thing
This sounds more like what I meant. The apple strains smells are crazy when they are legit

Don’t forget Apple Fritter! The Lumpys cut is very apple tasting, like a sharp and tart apple taste.
Challenge is finding it. I had it from PCG when they partnered with Lumpys a few years back, but lost her. Have tried 3 other “Yeah bro it totally the Lumpys cut” and none have been yet.

I’ve had a few apple fritters from around the way. None have had that apple taste I’m talking about. That sour tartness combined just tastes fr like a Granny Smith apple. Apple fritter and apples and bananas are fire tho just not what I meant for my search

Pakistani stuff like x18 can have nice apple phenos also I hate the morals of them but greenhouse seeds big bang always used to throw sour green apple sweets/ candy phenos as well pretty consistently so it’s maybe worth a look if that’s yer thing

It’s more pear candy but yeah man pretty much any combination of taste and smell is possible in cannabis it’s just finding it it actually has more combinations than is possible with drink and food even it’s definitely unique that way
