Are these thrip pupae?

The leaf tops are all scuffed up and found these under the leaves.

Looks like it to me man…how far has it spread? I’ve noticed you removed infected foliage which is def what I would do to start

Thanks for the confirmation. I took a bunch off but will probably just reset the garden. :slightly_frowning_face:

Thrips ahoy

Why is everyone so ready to trash a garden over thrips? Thrips are easy! Like fungus gnats to me these days…

I would kill the bugs and not the plants, but that’s just me. :man_shrugging:

By reset I meant I am taking cuts of all affected plants in that tent and making sure they are clean. I just had a decent harvest and would rather wait a month or so and flip clean healthy plants than have bugs pop up mid flower or worse infect my other, clean plants.

Slow release nematodes will treat the soil the Overgrow Thrips one and done will clean the leaves.Remove all leaves with the silverish pockets eaten in the leaves the little bastards leave eggs in the leaf tissue and spray the whole plant top to bottom and hit it every couple days and keep an eye on it.People try to recycle thier dirt and they dont treat that soil the thrips sneak in there and lay eggs in the soil too. They dont treat the soil and the thrips will always come back Treat the soil and

the plant will follow Mites,Thrips, Aphids 'one-n-done' with pics

Nematodes are a fantastic thing to add to grows. Definitely worth the $50 or so it sets you back, and you can transfer them from pot to pot by soil handsful. So they last a long time.

These are alot cheaper my friend you save 28 bucks.I dont even see dirt gnats anymore. They are clear beads that disolve over time and keep replenishing the nematodes.Under a microscope you can see thousands of them they gobble up all sorts if stuff

 Sorry-I didn’t even see the price. That makes it even better. And you don’t even have to apply it as directed, because nematodes are going to breed nematodes. It shouldn’t take much.

I like your approach of treating the soil.
I’d still treat the leaves too…with a neem oil/detergent spray. Especially underneath the :leaves:

Update: After seeing all the feedback I decided I’m gonna try to keep this one. I am broke and have to use whats on-hand so that consists of sheers and diatomaceous earth (in the coco) so far. I have some neem concentrate however the bud sites are starting to set so I didn’t make any to apply to the leaves.

Do you guys think it’s still early enough to treat with neem?

(The droopy plant in back is in a solo cup thats a little further along so please ignore that one.)
