Will AI become a member of OG and post online like a regular user?
Is there an example of this here at OG currently?

[The AI assistant] will give the consumer someone to talk to about it.”

I asked a question about 15 min ago and it still is not answered…LOL

Every question I asked this thing came back like a fancy google search.
I have not found it to be useful for answering any questions I have.

JOINTLY’S “SPARK” LAUNCHES AS THE WORLD’S FIRST PURPOSEFUL CANNABIS CONSUMPTION AI

Cannabis consumption assistant:rofl:

I used to think the internet was the greatest thing ever. All the world’s knowledge at your fingertips within a fraction of a second. Its like the “entire mind” of humanity. But I have learned that humanity is pretty psychotic.

Will AI be able to enter our dreams?

But here’s a thought: If AI can interpret our dreams, what could it do for the real estate industry? Imagine the possibilities! Could it predict market trends? Identify potential sellers before they even decide to sell?

This is a must watch.
Will AI allow advertisments to be delivered into our dreams?
Completely unbeknownst to the victim.
These tools can make you remember and forget things… :grimacing:

Seems like a weird thing for us to get paranoid about… luckily we have protection against such nefarious technology, all we have to do is smoke enough weed. :stuck_out_tongue: Tough to manipulate people who don’t dream through their dreams. Oh, and yet again, this is another “be afraid of the humans, not the AI” moments, IMO… if we have the technology to allow AI to do it, we have the technology for people to be doing it. We already know there are plenty of people with power who have exploitative or outright nefarious motives, why overcomplicate things by freaking out about whether there might in the future be AI with that kind of power and those motives?

I would argue that some are either unaware or willfully ignorant to it.

I agree freaking out is not the answer.
Knowledge is power!

Gaining the knowledge needed and being fully aware of the possibilities the future is bringing, is a good start to an answer for the issues we will face in the future.

I think those that are not aware of these issues will be taken advantage of first.
Why?
They won’t see it coming.

Maybe we don’t remember dreaming?
I smoke a ton of weed and I still dream, it is rare but I do for sure.
When you sleep through your REM cycles, you’re less likely to remember your dreams.
When you stop using marijuana, it makes you more likely to suddenly awaken during REM sleep and you remember your dreams.

I know I should not but can’t resist replying to all in this thread.

My thoughts…
Some of these posts are false, misleading, totally incorrect.
Some other posts are spot on, peer reviewed, on point.
Some in between.

I feel the discussion needs to occur, otherwise we can not hash out valid points.
Yes, some people will disagree with your viewpoint, that is part of debate.

The chief justice noted that AI could provide equity in extending legal resources to low-income people and “have the welcome potential to smooth out any mismatch between available resources and urgent needs in our court system.”

…Roberts also cautioned, however, about the dangers of using AI without verification presented to lawyers, specifically “hallucination,” a trend in which lawyers use AI tools to “submit briefs with citations to non-existent cases. (Always a bad idea.)”

The report concludes by predicting “human judges will be around for a while” but that “judicial work — particularly at the trial level — will be significantly affected by AI.”

An AI judge?
How cold and inhuman!

An AI jury?
A machine is not my peers…WTF?

How bout we let AI run everything like police, doctors, judges, juries, they can make all our important decisions for us.

AI is better suited to make my decisions for me than another human.

Another way that AI can be used to enslave people is by creating algorithms that control access to information. By limiting the content people can access online, cult leaders and dictators can ensure that their followers receive only information that reinforces their beliefs—creating an echo chamber in which people are unable to access differing viewpoints

Nah. The vein of misanthropy that sometimes runs through these threads always surprises me. People, outside the Parasite Class, typically want to help if they know how, avoid unecessary trouble if they can, and prefer the equilibrium of peace,
and the “Ugh, humans” sentiment is as gross to me as “Ugh, blacks” or any other such generalization of Genetic Fallacy.
