I’m so proud you bro! I’ve had my ear to the ground since the late 90s to hear someone say those words
I can’t wait to try it!
I love that Christmas /pine tree smell too. Its nostalgic for me atleast hopefully it translates to cure. Plus if it it has the classic red eyed giggly Mexican effects its a winner. Wonder why Mexican strains make my eyes so bloodshot nothing else really does
@nick131740 ![]()
if it’s the one I’m thinking of it will cure into straight pine/evergreen just like one of those taxi cab air fresheners
good thing is @rasterman will be able to tell us shortly
Ya i love that smell the little tree freshners. Triangle kush is very very similar if your into that kind of terp fyi. Its like a pine perfume cleaner

I’ve noticed that too.
I hope it cures into an air freshener. I’m pretty terrible with the curing process most of the time but I’ll try to be diligent this time. I held onto the pinene in my Oaxacan from last summer and this strain seems to be much louder in the pine department, so hopefully my Christmas smoke will bring Christmas spirit.
How was that Oaxacan? Ive heard many describe it as pine. Do you still run that my plants are half Oaxacan so im curious
I ran Pearl Stem Oaxacan mostly, and most of the plants were good, and one was fire. I didn’t keep clones because I thought, “Hey, it’s just a landrace.” I grew some more this summer but had to chop before flower to reduce my plant count because I expected a legal visit. It’s a great strain that I’ll be growing every year outside here when I can get away with it.
It’s become one of my favorite strains.
This is much louder and more distinct than TK. I have a clone in early flower in the greenhouse and one drying (actually completely dry) right now.
TK smells different, too. Pine perfume is a pretty good description. I’ve also described it as nondescript perfume…
That’s the Christmas tree bud I remember super loud
straight green kinda dark with red hairs
I would chop mom #3 today if I wasn’t doing a seed run.
Even with additional nutes, MiracleGro doesn’t have what it takes to get this strain to harvest without issues. I have used it with autos before, but they don’t need as much. I lowered the lights to 80% yesterday in case 1000 PPFD is my issue. So now I’m getting 800 at the top of the canopy.
Here are some pictures. They have a slight excess in nitrogen and I’ve been feeding them finishing nutes. I’m still not convinced that the yellowing of fan leaves isn’t normal, but the next run is going to be done in reused soil (clones are vegging outside) so it might be a few runs before I can give them perfect conditions. Once enough people have grown out the seeds we’ll have a better feel for what finishing looks like.
Here are some pictures…
Looks fire dude. Plus the smell sound really nice loud is always good
Okay, I’ve decided. Seeds everywhere I look are mature where buds appear mature. On popcorn buds on the bottom of the plant they aren’t, but I don’t think the few extra I’d get are even worth the wait. So I’m chopping next weekend. I have some plants in the greenhouse I want to make seeds from but the chosen dad isn’t big enough and I want them to have some veg time first. As many of you in the temperate zone know, we’re running out of veg time.
So I’m going to bring in two clones for crossing, along with copies of these moms for sensimilla, and fill out the space with some autos I received recently from an OG friend…and finally bring the first stage of this process to a close.
I’m predicting middle-to-late August to ship out seeds to those of you who are interested.
Thats great news glad you had success. Hopefully others will take your offer and grow them out. Should be a nice addition to anyones stash especially lovers of Mexican herb.
Well done.
Nice! Will be excited to read your eventual smoke report on these. What’s your guess for flower time, like 9 weeks?
Yeah, look real nice your buds ![]()
An curious what the smoke is like!
Am enjoying Highland Guerrero atm. And a new verity of mexican Ibl is always welcome, especially an older one like this.
I was just thinking about that, actually. One of my clones is starting to flower, and outdoors here I would expect an acclimated strain to finish by mid-October at the very latest. So my guess is 65-75 days, though 80 is also a possibility.
Looks terrific.
