Off to work. Slept all day yesterday and didn’t get lights on pics:grimacing: got some before I left. All looking amazing
Not watering day yet, but it’s dry 2 inches down already on everyone except jelly pie. There was a droop at lights off I saw and it should mean it’s soon, but they found more water after I saw that. Though the droop could be from the low humidity I’m pretty much never home anymore. Funny, as I used to get out of the house to escape the mess now that it’s almost all gone I’m getting out just because I feel like it:joy: aside from going in to take pics I’m just growing with LITFA. Soon I should be able to train them once they get a little but taller. DBHP isn’t doing that great, but they definitely bounced back. Just a little light and the stems could definitely be thicker I’ll try to be quick about how much longer I’m in veg for. It might still be a little too high nitrogen for flower though, so I’ll let them get a little bigger before I flip.
I actually feel a little disconnected from my grow this time. It feels too hands off for my liking this time. I’ll come prepared next grow. With the place finally clean enough to move things around the tent is getting relocated after this grow to the room with multiple 20A breakers and an exhaust fan to help keep air from getting stale in there. Though the room is fairly open, so that should be less of an issue
Well then… It’s watering day😬 that was really fast. No moisture at all in the mulch or soil in the first 4 inches of the pot😬
Booberry is curling a little bit ladybugs getting to work on those leaves slightly claw looking, but otherwise still pretty happy with the soil:grin:
Marauder is looking really good and I can definitely train her to cover the soil completely easily now. No more topping. Training from here on out.
DBHP is looking a little better now. Still needs to darken up a little though.
Jelly Pie has bounced back very nicely
Today was training day for DBHP. I got a little creative with weight them down. A stapler and an empty kraken nip are both being used. The tent pole and a small metal scrap lying around the house from an old curtain rod setup too. A couple were good with the handles and another couple could make use of the base stem to be pulled toward the middle to help fill out gaps in her canopy. It’ll take a little bit to get her looking back to snuff again, but she’ll improve as she grows as she has been doing
Jelly Pie looks like I nailed their water this time. I won’t be topping her. I’ll just train her out as needed once she’s a little bigger. Hopefully they’ll be a she, but 3/4 isn’t the worst and I’ll just move them around a little more to make up for the missing plant in the canopy.
Booberry is looking very happy with the water this time also. I could probably give her more, but with how well she’s been going I’m not risking overwatering her. Shes following the same terpene expression as Zelda so far:grin: currently at a skunky, musky, earthy, sweet, pepper, and citrus smell. Nearly a cat piss and mushrooms smell:grimacing: just thst right amount of skunk to keep my brain on weed instead of a litter box:face_vomiting:
Marauder is looking really good and I’ll work on training her tomorrow after work with Booberry most likely.
Fishing sinkers work well also
True they work wonders. I’ll have to get some weights for training anyways as it helps keep them fighting and I can increase the weight as needed instead of pulling them so tight it has a risk of cutting the stem😬
Booberry got training as well. She can lift that bottle is off the ground and I pulled it that low myself. She still needs work to even everything out, but I’ll leave it as it is for today. For now I spread her out as much as I can figure out before bed. I have work in 5 hours
I trained out jelly pie with the handle to start a lst.
@OniTenshu - interesting concept, weight training for plants
That should make them grow strong branches!
I’ve been using another method that I haven’t seen on here before: curtain hangers.
They attach easily to the sides of fabric pots (and other types) and work well with the fuzzy twisty tie things like you’re using. Super easy to adjust.
@MichiGreen Interesting I actually had to train her with weights to be sure I didn’t pull the stems too hard. I used the weight and where they stuck in place and pulled down gentle until they were in place and then worked on tying the branches leftover to fill the middle by attaching a pipe cleaner to the base stem and pulling them to the middle. It might take a bit to finish, but I’m patient with this grow. Also the nitrogen is definitely too high for flower yet, so I’ll take advantage and let them all grow out and spread across the tent. I’ll be rotating Booberry once she shades jelly pie. She can shade the herbs just fine as they all can grow in partial shade just fine. I’ll have enough money over the next month to finally upgrade the tent with more QB to replace the cob light I the middle. It’ll pay off once I can get the lights closer than 30 inches away without worrying about the cobs burning the plants. I’ll probably get a 2x2x4 tent for the cob to run experiments with limits when I get the chance to later.
Booberry already has some thick stems😁 the base stem is insanely thick😁 she’s got girth
Jelly pie is beautiful lol very nice grow my wife even likes your plants mind if I post a pic of mines to get your opinion on it?
@Benjisavage I don’t mind at all. I keep a general track of key events in my calendar to know where to scroll to if I need to check something ask away
She’s looking pretty good. With practice you’ll get the yield you’re looking for. It took a few tries to get to where I want to be growing. Currently I’m at the slow method for growing using the plants natural lifecycle no artificial short veg time from impatience Because of selling or something like that. I just go through a lot of bud pretty quickly. This grow should hopefully last me until next if I get 1gpw that’s 600ish grams this grow at least. Dry weight not wet weight. People have to stop citing wet weight harvest numbers. It’s not impressive and just sounds like you’re making shit up when you harvest “20lbs off one plant that was 12 feet tall” yeahhhhhhhh noooooooooooo
Yeah I’ve been away from the internet mostly the last few months😬 my bad. Work has me exhausted pretty much always now.
Yeah thanks bro it’s all good ik how working is lol tiring as hell this will be my first finished plant my other plant was like 10 gs of unfinished weed got me and the wife high tho
The smaller yield harvests usually at least make up for it in taste. They spent all their energy on just the small amount you got. Almost kinda makes it taste better when you work hard for something
Had to rearrange the plants a little to make sure they had room to grow without hitting the walls. It took a little fiddling, but I think I managed a decent spot for Booberry, but DBHP might need a new spot😬
It was watering day for the herbs in the tent, but DBHP surprised me with bone dry soil today. I gave her a half gallon of water and that should hold her off for a little bit. I have to head out today and they’ll be asleep when I get back pics now and I’ll see how they all behaved after.
These are from this morning before lights out.
And now the new pics before I leave
I definitely made the right call with DBHP yesterday she’s looking better, so next watering is a sipping as well. Jelly Pie looks like they could use some water soon. Marauder might need some tomorrow or the next day. She’s not that drooped, but her stems are completely malleable. Booberry is a little too happy to be growing here:grin: she’ll be spread out soon. I might have to swap DBHP and jelly pie for better light spread on them.
DBHP is overall lighter than she was 2 weeks ago. Steadily getting lighter. She’s locked out as the soil is high in nitrogen and she’s not seemingly using any of it.
Booberry has a small deficiency in a leaf happening that looks closer to a chemical burn. I must have missed wiping down that leaf when I added the sugar water mixture this did happen to a few other plants once they got too close to the lights before, so it may be a little bit of column A and B.
Marauder is very excited to be a part of the grow. So far no serious issues and a pretty stress free plant line. She needs to be trained out a little bit soon.
Jelly Pie has 11 fingers on that single leaf left that I didn’t accidentally lose while slipping under the handle. Much happier than I thought they were
That’s all the notes I have to now. Still tired and off to work
Well, Marauder is getting purple tips. I wonder if they’ll get any purples in flower.
DBHP looks kinda sickly, but she’s growing at a steady pace regardless. Especially after her canopy has been spread out and is covering most of the soil.
Booberry is looking good despite that top showing a slight burning symptom I am seeing white spots all over the place in the tent now, so I’ll be ordering the predatory mites, nematodes, and ladybugs this weekend. I’ll add some green lacewing egg strips on the plants tonight to start on some IPM while the ladybugs are low population.
Jelly pie is getting some healthy leaves and seems to be happy despite losing a fan leaf😬
