Audrey III and Photo double grow

I had to spray all the plants with bonide insecticidal soap after finding spider mites on my Tulsi. It’s odd, but they almost seem to have bounced back from what was bugging them after I sprayed them today after lights on.
I ordered ladybugs and lacewings. Ladybugs are coming on Tuesday and the lacewings around Friday. Now that I’m not in control of the cannabis pests in the house I have no choice, but to keep up IPM. To keep from spraying I’m going to work on preventative IPM without chemicals if I can. Bugs and trap plants first. Speaking of  I’m thinking about Venus fly traps, but I’ll have to check on living conditions for them. They might be too fragile for my tent.

Right before lights off I had enough time to train 1 plant, so I went with DBHP. She’s starting to look like a electrical fire waiting to happen in a breaker box😂

Booberry is the next one getting trained out. I need them all prepped and ready to fill out the 15/20 gallon pots.

Marauder is looking a little sad but with all that’s going on right now I’m not shocked. At lights on I’ll train them also :+1:

I’ll just keep retraining them all spreading the branches apart as best as I can manage like I did with DBHP. Thankfully they’re all photos  I can train them in any freaky position I want and force the stems to be sturdy enough to hold the weight on the tops. I’m going to have to grab a Trellis net for later also. I expect once they’re all trained out and in the big pots they’ll need some Support still.

Still on LITFA and then the ladybugs came in. Sorry no in tent pics with them. They like me as much as they like the plants. I had to brush about 30 off me after releasing them all. Figures my natural ability to lure beetles and spiders works for ladybugs too:man_facepalming: Junebugs are the worst. I can’t keep them off me. I produce less musk and more lactic acid in my sweat. I know that’s why mosquitoes love me. lately I ooze weed from my pores :joy: so there is probably a lot of reasons :joy:

Still waiting to water I guess. I’ll wait until after lights on and see how they look.

Lacewing eggs arrived and I also got 5000 free eggs on a perforated hanging strip🤔 I won’t argue LoL

It looks like I can still wait some more time to water them. Even the 3 gallon with DBHP is doing fine. They’re starting to perk up a little bit, so when it’s time to water I’ll check on the time it took and account for that in my notes for next watering. I’ll be watering from the bottom on DBHP as a 3 gallon pot isn’t hard to do that with. Also if there’s any salt buildup causing issues I want it out of my pot. I’m going to grab some red Wiggler’s for my pots to help with soil structure and add in ewc as they do their thing. Should hopefully add some nematodes too🤔

Marauder is looking much better than before, but I think the soil mix was not the right npk for them🤦‍♂️ same with Booberry, but to a much less severe degree at least.

Booberry might be the most resilient plant in the tent though. Something clicked when I saw the white spots on her leaves with the mites being an issue. Well … both ladybugs and lacewings will be more than enough to take care of my issues that are pest related for the most part. Nematodes and bti will mop up any gnats that could be remaining if I see some after they’re all good and left my tent. Unlikely though and I’m happy to have my permaculture tent going on. Slowly evolving my tent to match/counter my lifestyle is my goal. Getting there and I just have to get on properly absorbing all the lessons learned to make this my last grow with issues once I can get the pests to stop and I can figure out what I need to do without the issues they cause🤦‍♂️

Newest addition to the tent popped today. too bad about botafumerios, but once the seed dries I’ll try again to germinate it. For the whole time it was in the soil it didn’t turn black. Maybe a shade of brown, but it was a immature pale white/green seed anyways. As much as I’d love to try bota it wasn’t meant to be this grow.

Marauder is looking like she’s getting just the right amount of light I want her to have as she’s growing a nice internodal spacing and letting me train her bush out to a larger spacing between branches. I did notice her branches want to grow towards the wall more, so I should probably try to figure that out🤔

I trained her out a little more

Booberry has something odd going on with a lower branch top node🤔 4 fan leaves from one top🤔 I have no idea.

DBHP is still recovering, but seems to be good for now. Still not looking like watering day🤔 I wonder how much longer they’ll last before they need water🤔

Tent rearranged a little to make room for Jelly Pie

the one at bottom right reminds me of friesan dew back in the day. It’s a cool plant the nugs get purple but they leaves make it look like not weed.

I swear that there’s something like that growing near a plant nursery in my city :joy: you can smell it every season, but never spot it or anything that it could be hiding in either. Just completely unkempt weeds mostly dead.

I took a peek in the tent and it’s watering day finally. They just started that I need water droop not the severe I’ve been thirsty all day asshole droop. I have the water ready to go when it’s watering time. I’ll bottom water DBHP and the other 2 have a much better soil mix and I could get away with slowly watering the surface until moist. The little one looks to have just shed the seed shell. Sorry no pics as I was working in the darkness. Pics will come once lights come on in 3 hours. No nutrients. Just water at a proper temperature. 75f. The house temperature has been a nice 66-73f. Honestly pretty nice for the plants growth once light heat is added. I’m seeing a constant 75f in the tent at lights on at the distance the lights are at now. I can raise all of them a little higher if needed. It does seem like it is. My pics the last few updates have looked almost light bleached on the tops. The 4 fan leaves from 1 top just seems odd on booberry  I wonder what she’s doing there

This ladybug threw me off thinking I had a bee in my tent😂
It lost its shell over the wings it looks like.

Booberry is odd. What makes a plant grow 4 leaves from one node?

Marauder is just happy to be here.

DBHP is looking much better. I have her 12oz of water to hold her off as she was severely drooping at night. I’ll give her more next watering. For now I’m making her sip her water.

Jelly Pie is looking really good and I might end up with a plant that doesn’t grow out of my control :joy:

I don’t believe that’s a ladybug if you’re talking about that bee looking thingy.

Google it.

I tried to Google it. It’s definitely a beetle if you check the butt. The body and head are definitely the same as a ladybug too. Wings match also. No fuzz. No stinger. I have no clue what it is though. Everything seems to scream a ladybug who got into an accident

I tried to find the bug you’re talking about, but just keep finding results about ladybug appearance and types. It looks to be a ladybug that lost its elytron shell. The neck it has is odd though. The head is extended. Is that a parasite that took over a ladybug body?

@OleReynard could you point me in the right direction? I’m apparently stupid with Google today :man_facepalming:

Nope, you may be right @OniTenshu.
I thought they’d die if they didn’t have wings, does it say anything about a transformation into something else.

Nothing at all I can find @OleReynard . Just the standard 4 cycle of egg, larvae, Pupae, and adult. It’s possible it’s some kind of assassin bug that looks strongly like a ladybug too🤔 I’m wondering if they can cross being both true bugs🤔

Is it me or is DBHP showing a sulfur deficiency?

Marauder is looking like her canopy distance is just about right. Another day or so and I’ll start training her down and apart again

Booberry is looking very happy with the ladybugs helping out.

I see bugs…

Yes. I released ladybugs/ladybirds in the tent. Green lacewings too. After multiple times seeing mites on my basil plants I spent money I couldn’t afford to spend last week to take care of it ASAP. Insecticidal soap the day before seems to have been the one two punch the tent needed. The ladybugs are having a field day in the tent. Whatever microscopic bugs I can’t see they do and they’re going all out on the buffet I have in there. Hopefully I can deal with it without having to cut the grow short. :grimacing:
