Man, Iā€™m sorry this is happening to you Pedro. Mother Nature helps too much, sometimes, and screws everything up, like what youā€™re having to endure now.

That is devastating, even to me as a viewer, it hurts to watch someone have go through something like that after all the hard work that was put into this grow. If I was your neighbor, I would gladly offer a hand to help you in any way I could!
The spore count in that area is gonna be insanely high very soon.

Yeh Iā€™m thinking I might go back out there and collect all the rotten stuff I dropped on the ground and just get it out of thereā€¦ Maybe.

Itā€™s that humid at the moment you can see steam coming from my t-shirt in a couple of the shots.

It is what it is and harvest should never be expected from a guerilla grow.

No truer words have ever been spoken.

But it still sucks pretty bad! Things were going so well before the rains came.

Thanks for sharing this awesome journey with us!
Just read through it for the first time and damnā€¦ Very cool setup using that pump and solar panelsā€¦

After watching the videos I now realize Australia is basically Jurassic Park, except itā€™s real :sauropod:

Sorry to see some mould startingā€¦ I hope it doesnā€™t do too much damageā€¦ Good luck!

Damn. Iā€™m so sorry for your loss.

Would have been nice though. I hope you will still get some in the end.

Shit, you can see the humidity, the leaves are all wet. Did it hit every plant??

There are still the late plants to flower and the ones that were later into the ground to look forward to.

The leaves are wet because it was sprinkling with rain on and off, no it didnā€™t hit every plant just the ones with more mature buds on them.

You gonna take em early and see what you can salvage?

Yep I took most of the ones that had mould.

The others should be ok provided it stops raining in the next couple of weeks or so.

Sorry to hear your loss :disappointed_relieved:, maybe next time you could try mould resistant strains, Mother Nature always wins, hope you will still harvest some ā€¦ :sunglasses:

Pedro, is shitty wet weather prevalent in your area this time of the year?
Maybe consider growing some equatorial African or Central/South American landracesā€¦ or even some Thai or Hawaiian. Something that really doesnā€™t mind getting water on it or being in a highly humid environment during its flowering cycle.

The flowers wonā€™t be as dense as your hybrids, but youā€™ll get more total weight off each plant and mold prefers dense flowers over airy ones.

It almost seems like you could split a grow by getting your indica/indica-dom hybrids planted early in the season, followed by the long-winded sativas.

Iā€™ve thought about your issues a few times since watching your video earlier. It bothers me that youā€™re going through this huge setback. I wish there was a simple answer for this, but it is what it is.

These were my personal thoughts in attempting to address your mold/humidity issueā€¦ and felt like maybe I should post them. In my thinkingā€¦ keeping it to myself doesnā€™t accomplish anything.

I rarely experience humid weather during harvest season where I live and to be honest, I have the exact opposite of your humidity problem.
When I did guerrilla grows in the Southern Sierraā€™s, years ago, I ran across quite a bit of late season inclement weather that the plants didnā€™t seem to care forā€¦ including very early season snowstorms. Sometimes everything came together as plannedā€¦ other times, not so much.

Mother Nature can be a difficult lady to deal with, so we make due however we can. These are the trials and tribulations of the guerrilla grower!

The split grow is exactly my plan for next season just as you say with the Indica dominant plants very early in the season followed by the sativa dominant varieties later on.

I am really not fussed too much about the mouldy stuff as I went into this expecting nothing at all to come of it.

I have harvested enough for the value of flowers to be greater than the value of the equipment purchased and work hours put into the grow and also there are still some beautiful plants out there that have lots of potential.

Happy days

I feel you man. I have crazy mold issues in my area. Last year I put out 7 different strains. Goji, Black Triangle and Sweet Skunk (Peak Seeds BC) had no mold issues. The other 4 plants were full of mold. Goji and Black Triangle are grown outdoors by Bodhi in Santa Cruz and Sweet Skunk is from Vancouver BC. I have always had good luck with breeders from other ā€œmoldyā€ locations. Its almost as if the seeds are more resistant. It may just happen in the process of selection (culling the moldy plants every generation).

Sorry for the setback @Pedro_Bann. Maybe the end of season will pull some of them through. I had plants that did that last year. They suffered early on but by the end of summer they all busted loose. You never know.

We have a mid summer monsoon season for about a month but then it dries back up till winter mostly. Sending vibes for the rest of the season!
