Authentic Genetics Seed Company

How long has that been in flower ?

It went about 13 weeks. Maybe week 11 or 12 in that pick. It was a very easy growing plant. I put her into 12/12 with minimal veg. I didnā€™t get much stretch like I expected. Itā€™s still curing but has a lovely smell. It smokes very smooth, too. Iā€™m trying to let it sit for a good cure but sneak a small bud now and then.

So this is the original blue dream and Iā€™ve been thinking it would be interesting to cross it back to the haze and then maybe take that and go back on the blueberry.
Most blue dream I see now is so indica dom I donā€™t even recognize it, this is how it should look.

Love me some blue dream. I canā€™t even decide whose seed to try. Any suggestions for breeders with good blue dream seeds?

I vote yes you should. Maybe get a better version of blue dream

Iā€™ve never looked for blue dream seeds Iā€™ve had the cut for 14 years and its actualy not something o even smoke very often. I have a couple people close to me who love it so I keep it around and it breeds well with others.

I grew a femenized pineapple blue dream seed from a grower in santa cruz once that was really crazy.

It produced resin on all its fan leaves, but not in the form of round trichome glands. Instead, it slowly built up like a crust of tiny cubic crystals which built up in the creases of the leaves. It had intense blue dream / blueberry leaf creases which gradually filled up with resin. It looked crazy through a loupe, like rock candy. Never seen anything like it before or since, I guess it was a fluke mutation.

That was a femenized seed of blue dream x an old cut just called pineapple. I think the pineapple was the clone that was reversed. It might have been the same pineapple you have.

Yeah I donā€™t have that pineapple in pure form anymore but it was the okā€™d California pineapple that was found out if the sagamartha 60/40 strain. The sagamartha 60/40 is the same strain orgnkid used to make banana og. The banana og is in circulation again and would make for a great cross to the Platinum pineapple

I have an appreciation for banana ogā€¦lol

It definitely has a very unique flavor, itā€™s not for my taste but most people love it.

Its why I said an appreciation. Iā€™m not gaga over it but itā€™s different and enjoyable. Different than my favorite hazes and my beloved blueberry from back in the day

What do you guys think about the rks drop? Iā€™ve heard that more than likely the scent we are chasing originates from afghan so this seems logical to hunt through a run or 2. Not as enthusiastic about this drop as the nl5 pre-sale. I wish he had more trial grow info lol

FYI Nevil was growing before 85 and was breeding way back then. Fucking fraud/clowns trying to make a buck off of Nevil while talking him down.

:warning: A message from D (Nevilā€™s friend and Ex Master grower at The SeedBank Of Holland),

No one would have heard of any of them if not for Nevil. Nevil was a seed bank, Of course he collected seed from everyone, that was the point. He grew weed much longer than that.

I got the Skunk #1, Original Haze, Durban Poison, Afghan #1 and Northern Lights genetics from the same people Nevil got the genetics from.

I used one ā€œNevilā€™s Hazeā€ female on one of my breeding projects and I hardly feel that I am making money off Nevil, especially considering that he used other peoples genetics to make the varieties he offered.

We all know that Nevil had absolutely nothing to do with making Haze, Skunk #1, NL, Big Bud, G13, Maple Leaf Indica, Afghan #1, Durban Poison or really any of the building blocks he used to make his seed bank a success.

If youā€™re saying that Nevil grew and bred in Holland before 1980, you are making up a story that Nevil did not even put out himself.

Read the article from 1987 in Nevilā€™s own words:

ā€œIn 1980, while still trying to kick his habit, Nevil stumbled across a copy of the Marijuana Growerā€™s Guide by Mel Frank and Ed Rosenthal. ā€œIā€™d grown some weed in the bush in Australia,ā€ he says. The book helped reawaken Nevilā€™s interest in genetics. Why not combine his two favorite pursuits, breeding and drugs?ā€

According to Nevil, he only started growing cannabis in Holland in 1980, and he was only growing for less than 4 years when he started the seed bank in 1984.

So much for being ā€œexperiencedā€, or perhaps maybe you would call somebody who has only been growing cannabis for 4 years ā€œexperiencedā€ but I wouldnā€™t. In fact, I donā€™t think that 4 years of growing experience even gives a person enough experience to consider themselves much of an experienced grower, never mind a breeder.

In the first Holland Seed Bank catalog, Nevil was only selling seeds that he collected at coffeeshops from import weed. Nevil stated in his 1984 catalog that he ā€œcould not guarantee the purity of the seedsā€ as he was not the one who bred them. Hmmm - wonder whyā€¦

IMHO, were it not for the known and worked genetics that Nevil got from Sam, Greg and others, I doubt that he would have ever made anything worthwhile from the landrace genetics that he collected prior, simply because Nevil never released any crosses from any landrace genetics that he had made himself. Never.

You first claim Nevil started growing in 84 but now claim 80, you just proved my point.

Nevil refined and improved those line, donā€™t make it sound like Nevil just did shitty OPā€™s like Sam and thru them up for sale throughout the whole seedbank years.

Everyone deserves Credit, but for you to make it look like Nevil didnā€™t do shit is flat out BS. Makes me wonder if youā€™re still holding a grudge from that time he told you to piss off on the phone.

Iā€™ve had a hard time keeping myself out of the stash I have. I smoked some again yesterday/today and itā€™s curing out even better than it was. The smell upon opening the jar burns the nose. And, the potency seems to have matured as well. This is a real special treat. And, she was only one of three seeds. Thanks brother. peace

She sure turned out nice. Beautiful nugs. Nice work Todd and crew.
