I’m excited about other drops. The “rks” thing has me skeptical as well but to be honest a lot of these lost genetics can be recreated if someone dedicated themselves. Most were accidental mistakes which means they were probably 1 in 10k. Breeders nowadays have such high standards I think they discard some a lot of stuff that would have been kept and smoked before. Not saying he has put the work in. Just saying I think someone could do it

So 50-60 dollers per bean , that’s alot. The only beans I’ve paid close to that for weren’t even cannabis, they are from the 2019 world record pumpkin and I got three for that price.

Yeah I 100% saw packs of RKS going for $500/10 beans last year. Super crazy, would never pay that.

Skunk…I’ve had this skunk growing and when you rubbed the trichs the smell was like sweet candy or something. But just smelling it in the yard it was quite skunky. Hmm maybe it was a ssh. I forget lol

My hope is that @ToddMcC get Mel to drop more of his vault with him. Everything I’ve popped from that so far hasn’t been phenomenal

We will have new releases in 2021 from my collection as well as Mel Frank’s.
Yes we will have more seeds in the Mel Frank collection in 2021. We are working on making Afghan #1, Durban Poison, Cambodian and others available again this year.

Yep but from the sounds of it, things will be going a little different. The first drop seem like they came out Mel’s refrigerator, this seems as if he got them from Mel and with his help is making the seeds. I mean that’s good for the whole community, but I’m trying to be a closed mind individual and get them straight from Mel’s refrigerator. I mean I could be completely wrong. Which I have been a lot. But in the end the truth is that anything Mel and Todd are doing should be beyond spectacular. More of a I wanted to feel special thing going on for me lol.
I think most if not all of the beans from Mel’s collection, Mel open pollinated or selected at least once, before Todd ever got them from of his refrigerator.
I know the NL5HazeSensiStar’s were done at least once, in 2012, before the release in 2018(and they look like F2 or F3’s to me, definitely not F1’s). His Skunk #1 was done in 1996 and again in 2010. His Jack Herer was done a couple times…
So I would think Mel and/or Todd would just be doing that again for another release. I wouldn’t expect them to be much different

That I can agree. The Durban, and jack were fems, as stated it was an open pollination of the skunk in the two eras. I usually don’t go poking at things until I’m about to pop them so never really looked at the sensi, but expected it to be a choice selection by Mel. And I’m all for a population increase by Todd and surely welcome it with excitement. But I want those little hidden gems he has hiding. I know they are there now by this GDP I have going, even if that’s what mel did in selections, I’m starting to find that exactly what I thought, these older genetics are not like the new.

I just finished an ON Haze from @ToddMcC. It was gifted to me by my buddy @webeblzr. He was kind enough to share a 5 pack out a few that he had.
I got one female from 3 seeds and it turned out to be the most haze looking of the three. One of the two males also looked very close to her and the other was a little more broadleaf, not much. I mis-timed things and my attempt at collecting the pollen didn’t do well. I do have the female re-vegging now. I have two more seeds and will do my best to get pollen if I get another male. @webeblzr may have pollen, not sure.
I am getting a few seeds that seem to be early and most likely from the 4P Haze from @lefthandseeds, or possibly his 3 Way Durban, and maybe but I think less likely are the two ON Haze males. So, this project will continue.
I just finished smoking some 8 day old bud and it’s getting good. Taste, smell and head buzz… Much better than my early samples. Stay tuned. Pics after I eat. peace

Here are a few pics of that ON Haze. I wish now that I would’ve maybe vegged it a little more. It’s got a very enticing smell that’s complex with a few nuances like floral, slight burnt rubber, milk chocolate in a strange sort of way… So, If I can stay away from the jar it should cure out nice. It’s a wonderful smell right now. It’s unique to me. Thanks @ToddMcC, and thanks @webeblzr! This is a real classic here, reminding me of the late 70’s when I smoked it in a joint. peace
