Auto—open pollination

Hi folks,

I’m back with a new thread as things are finishing up. I’ve got some very pregnant ladies here.

The above are Zamaldelica express pollinated with an ol chem haze male.

This one is a lemon skunk—and it does have some skunk smell to it.

This one I’m calling ol chem haze #1 because it has such nice looking sativa structure—but smells a little chemie.

And these are Durban sunrise #2 and Bruce banner. Sunrise #2 is purple and has been clawing since early on.
I’ll definitely be passing out beans at some point. I’m really eager to sample some of this! Shouldn’t be long now!

I am loving the auto pollination. Are these regular seeds or feminized.

They are all auto regulars.

Should be some fire!

the clawing is most likely wet feet the reason i say this is you see the leaves are in a reverse taco kinda way and the claw itself you have no real tip burn to tell me the soil is too hot looks good thou

Yeah that’s what my research said, too. It’s in a raised bed and things around it need water, but I’ll try to back off. It’s getting close to chop day, though. It’s around 85-90 days off the top of my head.

Who says heavily seeded bud can’t be potent? Sampled this sativa-leaning ol chem haze #1. It hits like white widow. A little trippy, nice balance of body stone and energy. Lots and lots of seeds out of it. Wish I’d spot pollinated I like it so much.

Here’s Bruce banner loaded with nanners @ 104 days. Going to have a lot to share and trade.

And the pot-size-restricted Durban sunrise throwing foxtails. Same age. Wonderful berry smell and beautiful coloring. Hope that and an effervescent buzz carries over to the f1s.

I’ve got a few other cultivars started. divinations, face fat, lsd-25, plutos bride, and lilac runtz cake feminized and f2 regulars for a backcross. Should be fun.

Might have some 3 bears reversals to trade back if intrested. I got my first full reversal from 1 of the 4 I had in tent, 2 were sprayed, I culled the 1 that didn’t reverse to add a banana daddy but she didn’t make it but still have a harlock haze that is a beauty and a Magilla Gorilla on same tent that might get a few seeds but not many because the male is fading and female flowers are starting to show now and the harlock is like week 2 of flower now and Magilla Gorilla is just turning I think.

Great job matey . Love seeing auto crosses.

Durban sunrise by 2020 is underrated. Fruity terps and big, plum colored nugs that might have swollen to that size if unpollinated. Perfect up high with energy.

Zamaldelica express or whatever night owl calls it now is even better. Started another one.

Here’s Bruce banner with nanners and frost. Taking forever.

That’s awesome I’ll follow along

How long should I wait to try and pop some of these seeds? Should I put them in the freezer for a bit? What’s best practice? Buds w seeds currently curing in grove bags.

Problem: I thought I had germination problems because a bunch of seeds weren’t coming up after popping, but it’s harvester ants! Any suggestions that don’t involve poison? Diatomaceous earth is sprinkled around.

Also, here’s what’s left of the Bruce banner, a giant auto! The bottom branches are in flower after chopping tops. I already have like 1000 seeds from it—and am going to get some sensimilla off it, which is good cause the chaff had a nice up high that gently worked toward relaxation. A long lasting buzz. Plus, what’s left is more than some autos I’ve run in this environment. It looks like a single LST’d plant. Got some seedlings popping up around it from dropped seeds.

Happy growing, folks!

Will it ruin the soil? These raised beds don’t get swapped out.

if you go crazy with it i guess. i mix a table spoon of each i mean you wash your close in it they take it back to the colony and they all eat it. it reacts with the formic acid in the ants and they pop i have seen people will use backing soda and sugar i have not thou so cant speak to that route

Alright that makes sense. Thanks!

Here’s what’s happening in the garden: I’ve got some Pluto’s Bride, face fat, and divinations. Not sure which is which at this point, but they look nice. Hoping I can tell them apart by the smell. Planning on using some pollen from last years lilac runtz cake to pollinate a few branches. I’ll document that when it is time. Hopefully the pollen is still good because it was a frosty male.

A little LSD 25 from fast buds. Nice purple color but a long way to go. Tiny plant.

This is a lilac runtz cake f2, from seed I made last year.

And the last seed I had of Zamaldelica express from night owl. I might have to snag another pack of these and reverse a few next year. I find anything night owl or Mephisto runs small, which is too bad because I love this strain.

I’ll post photos of all the crosses that are coming up from the last seed run (ol chem haze) soon but keep forgetting to snap pics of the seedlings. My attention is elsewhere!

Finally, I let one of the beets that overwintered produce and drop seeds. They’re coming along.

You could sprinkle diatomaceous earth on them if it’s dry. I like to piss them off first. I’m late, you probably have already took care of the ants by now
