As I said yesterday, mom #1 is LOADED with seeds. I pulled her out, sprayed her down and put her in the greenhouse to finish. I put the other mom under both lights, so she’ll be caught up soon.
So are those going to be fast flower photos then? Or did you work it back to an auto?
I think he used an auto reg then will back cross it to the DG multiple times.
This is a Double Grape fems-to-regs project. It’s all auto.
Ahhh ok I missed the part where you said you got the auto regs from someone else to cross into it I was a little confused on what the end game was but I see now. Cool project man something different
So far so good. I’m almost done with this project and am planning to do it again with maybe Walter White, I’m not sure.
I have a few Mephesto strains that are gonna get thrown in between my photo runs ones a Walter White x 4 assed monkey freebie. I got a Neuralyzer Nuggs ((Alien vs Triangle x Strawberry Nuggets) x Dosidelerium) going right now but I still suck with autos starting to get it down a little though. Want more practice before I run the Blueberry Pie Oreos bc I want that to be fuego lol
No worries-I still suck with autos but I’m getting better. I have learned that staying above 82°F is perfect for preventing stunting, at least. I used to stunt them a lot.
I’ve never been disappointed by a Mephisto freebie…
Not sure if it’s the same thing or parents flipped but the freebie I have was released awhile back as Great White Ape it’s supposed to have some heavy grape terps so I’ll for sure be running it eventually. Also my temps are normally somewhere around 75-85ish depending on the time of day so I guess I’m not far off there. My issue normally tends to be over/under watering and feeding. I’m getting there though. Deff will be following all the auto posts I can though to pick up some tips from you guys.
Grape White Ape sounds like a good strain I’ve never tried. When I first started growing, the admonition against overwatering caused me to under-water for a couple of years. Now I water a lot more and do a lot better. I’m in a dry climate and maybe that’s why because I water now pretty frequently and haven’t had many instances of over-soggy plants.
Same issue here man. First auto I tried was in soil and I overwatered now I’m in coco and was under watering lol I’ve got a better idea on how to water the coco now though just took a little to figure it out
Well, I’m happy to report that mom #2 has that grapey smell too.
I shook all the pollen off the guys one last time and let the fan blow pollen around for a few minutes. Then I shut down that grow room. She still has green pistils, but I have a July deadline so I’m counting two months from today. August 1st is my harvest date. For now I’m moving her indoors. She’s in my 4x4 sharing space with a Blue God and the Zamaldelica, on 12s.
She’s all branches and looks to be a little stunted, but not too bad.
Mom #1 hasn’t had green pistils for a couple of weeks. She’ll probably be ready July 15th. She’s currently out in the greenhouse. She looks so good I didn’t want to move her.
Day 67 (and ~57-ish). Both moms are happy and healthy. Mom #2 is a little stunted, but also has never had any training. Early on I removed lower branches from mom #1 but never did that for mom #2.
Day 73 (and ~60 something) for my moms. Both phenos have a nice grape aroma. Mom#2 smells like grape perfume if there was such a thing.
Here’s a comparison of training styles - mom #1 (right) had lower branches removed when flower started but mom #2 had no training…and stunted due to cold temperatures when she was just getting started. Basically, a bush.
And some close-ups…
I always do a 21/3 light cycle. I like them to rest a bit.L
did you pollinate this plant? the flowers don’t look the most beautiful and compact.

Me too - I usually do 21/3 for autos too which these were on until I moved them out to the greenhouse a few weeks ago. Now they’re on a 14.5/9.5 according to Weather Underground. ![]()
Yes, I should be getting a lot of seeds and very little weed.
I would like to see the difference between the Double grape reg and the double grape fem
I plan to run some side by sides next winter or later this summer sometime - when I have DG94 seeds. I usually plant at the first chance. I still have a few retail original seeds. The DG87 F3s look pretty close, though I’ve never had two sitting next to each other before.
@MissinBissin posted some cool DG87 pics a few months ago.
