Autoflowers all finicky with nutes?

Ok I’ve only grew 2 autoflowers before and both times they were really finicky with nutes… are all autoflowers finicky compared to photoperiods?

I found they just like a lighter dosage for the most part.

We often run into cal or mag issues here when we run autos, not on all autos but some. Current grow the purple og kush has been finicky as has the platinum cookies to a degree. I tend to use jacks 20/20/20 on my autos with roots organic soil with some foxs farms ocean and happy frog mixed in, usually thats enough for us save needing cal mag supplement now and then.

I feed mine fairly heavy in hydroponic mediums. For instance, during my 3wok OG grow, (I recently partially harvested) I was feeding 1tsp per gallon of General Hydroponics trio, plus cal-mag & 1/2 tsp Koolbloom. Never really had an issue. I decrease nitrogen starting around week 6-7 depending on the strain.

In soil, I use Nectar For The Gods. Pretty hard to mess that up. Fantastic stuff.

I am constantly brewing nettle manure and also keep some over the winter. I add some of this every other watering. that’s cheapest bio fertzzz I guess.

Do you have municipal compost in your area? Or know someone who might have a bunch of compost that would let you take some to top dress each pot?

To answer the original question, if you’re growing good auto genetics, they should grow identical to photos but not light sensitive. Have had heavy feeders and light feeders.

Ok, so yesterday i went and got some miracle grow shake n feed. Just to get through till I can order good nutes. But worked the shake n feed into the soil ans then watered. I used it really sparingly because MG is strong. But just checked the garden and the ladies look great. Darker green and overall they look healthier

Just transplanted.

I’d be careful with miracle grow… they don’t source their stuff from the best places a lot of heavy metals…

Also, I grow autos hydroponically, and I tend to run a half nutrient solution with pretty much everything.
