So nice.
Which is which of the weed plants in there?

Any large and visible cannabis would be the cherry berry white (CBW) thatās what I named your cross, DBHP, SSDD and JS
The CBW would be the one behind the zinnias (that I pulled out today) I think itās the third pic in post 1035 on the left to the right is DBHP then SSDD. The JS would be on the right in pic 2 then SSDD and DBHP to the left
Gardeningā¦ Iāve learned that itās impossible to maintain a garden and a manicure at the same time and that if you just randomly plant every damn color of flowers in your garden under the rainbow they will all match.
@cannabissequoia the bird has lift off
Awesome! Veggies! I donāt think I ever saw an artichokey plant. Is that about normal? Like 3 per plant? I love to eat them!!
There is actually 4 on that stalk and I have another one that started on the other side. I have no idea how many is normal. Looks like itās serious about sprouting now though. I feel like it will even get more stalks throughout the summer.
Iām eyeing the middle one like a hawk right now though, if you pick them too late, they get tough I hear.
Oh, thatās pretty cool. Man, I want a plant now, heh. Looks like they fruit pretty fast. I have to look into them now. I wonder if they would grow here? Probably.
Actually I had this plant since the fall and it didnāt do anything. Right when I was gonna dig it up it finally got artichokes. If you want one give it lots of room. This sucker spans like 5 feet across. btwā¦ I think they overwinter quite well from what Iāve heard. Probably would grow there
man, even better! Iāll plant two!
Meesh, took a look at the lillies todayā¦
Day Lilly - I know these are yellow
I think this is one of the Tiger Lillies - starting to budā¦wonāt be long now
I forget the name of this one thought its my happiest and most prolific
My Siberian Irises are blooming in partial shade (ignore the weeds around it - just havenāt gotten to this bed yet)
Siberian irises in my raised bed in full sun surrounded by yellow sedum have yet to shoot up their buds
The catmint is really taking off
I didnāt get a close up of the David Phlox though its here on the right behind the chives
Iāll have to take note of how the lemon balm is growingā¦it seems to like partial shadeā¦
Rather than full sun
and just for well roundedness, a quick update on the Petuniaāsā¦the lime ones are taking over the purple/blue ones so next year iāll have to have 1 lime to 3 purple/blue in each pot and see how that goes
Beautiful garden! Except the day lilies, screw those lol. We spent like weeks digging those out when we moved to our new place. They had taken over EVERYTHING. So hard to get all those bulbs and endless roots out. The next year Iād say roughly 20% came back again!
Got them under control in a few small areas now but man those things love to take over!
Thank you! Little by little I am getting rid of the sand and weeds - I am almost ready for grass well here in the front and right side of the house just gotta level it out and add ~3 truckloads of topsoil
Holy shit dude! Perhaps its the cultivar or the environmentā¦maybe both? I bought this one on its deathbed ~9yrs ago and split it into 2 ~5 yrs agoā¦both have stayed where I put them
Well thatās good to hear. Maybe theyāre more suited to our climate hereā¦keep an eye on them lol
@MomOnTheRun I canāt believe it Iām actually outta likes. Feel like a newbie. Wow! Everything is really taking off! You know I love those lilies! Thanks so much for sharing! I love good flower porn! Please feel free to share again, anytime. Definitely in a month cuz I love to see the change. I bet youāre seeing something new everyday now. Love it!!!
Btwā¦ that catmint looks amazing! I havenāt decided yet on the lemon balm. I have one in full sun and one in part shade and they donāt seem to care either way. Lol
I bought a dwarf morning glory today. Didnāt know such a thing existed. Iāll post pics after they perk up as I just potted them and itās looking wonky still.
Right?!?
Yup! Including the weeds lol
I do tooā¦one of my favorite flowers next to Peonies. I definitely will - they will all be at their peak come mid July so I have til then to deweed all 4 120ā beds and tackle them in my patio border again
When I look
Okay, because Iām insane and I honestly can not stop myself. I made some more annuals and another fern for the shade
Dwarf morning gloryā¦ it will have blue flowers, Iāll post again when it blooms. For fillers itās all alyssum since itās like 2 bucks for a flat.
Very nice gardens MOTR and Meesh! I havenāt really planted much of anything this year. But with all of the rain and mild weather, the widlflowers and things that were already here, are really putting on a show.
Iām still busy pulling and digging tall grass and weeds all over the place. Iām finally getting ahead of it. My yellow day lilies will be along in another week or three.
Yeah, and you laughed because I liked a post earlier on about doing it for as little cost as possibleā¦
I donāt even want to ask the running tab so farā¦
But it is all worth it because you are doing a wonderful job, things look happy and healthy, and I hope people learn from your experienceā¦ I know I haveā¦
Peace
