Simple is the way to go bro.I get my best results when i follow that guide line.
3 gallon. We will see how that works out. I asked around a bit, and a few guys told me that was the size they used. It’s nice having a starting point and not having to just guess.
You got a grow thread @Tejas?
Hey Badger, yes Tejas has a thread. Looks like he knows how to DIY good lights too! Looking forward to your logs Tejas!
Then I need to check it out. What’s it called?
I cleaned the bottoms up this evening. I took all the flowering sights off the bottom half. I double checked all sexes, and the Jack Herer still has no pre flowers, so I stuck it in the front. I also took the time having everything out of the tent to put a trellis net and, and to install my AC infinity fan I got on trade. This thing is freaking awesome. The room is much more peacful now than with that old fan running full blast all the time. I’m not sure I want any other fan, ever.
I figure I will give them a couple days to recover from all the trimming, and then will be flip day!!
By the way, I’m getting ready to order a 2x4. More to come on that.
You can see the temp probe for the fan in this picture. It is set 12 inches under the light, which is also the distance I need to keep
I love mine, they are whisper quiet
I’m putting one in the 2x4 for sure. Anywhere close to living areas that has a tent, needs one of these. I’ll look at the higher price as necessary from now on.
Looking to buy an 8in for my big tent and a 4in for the closet.Right now i have the cheap Vivosun 8in they work fine and are not overly noisy and were only $35 a pop.But i like the ac infinity and the features it offeres.I threw my grow together on the cheap to get growing and get a nice harvest before Christmas. Now i will start upgrading lights and fans to my 2 main flower rooms and incorporate the cheaper lights and fans to the expanding veg, mother and clone room. After 2nd harvest i will upgrade the veg room and donate the replaced equipment to a med user looking to start a grow.
The thing that I am really apprecaiting right now is that when my light is on my temperature is staying between 79-80 degrees. When it does come on, it is super quiet. It is not sucking my tent in constantly, like the old fan was. We are anticipating some energy savings as well.
With a title like this was curious to see if this camping trip ended up like Ned Beatty in Deliverance.
Boy was I wrong
Yeah, not quite like that. We will see what happens over the next couple months though. I’m getting super excited for my first flip in a long time. Outdoors the sun did it for me, so there wasnt the supspense and excitement.
the trips not over yet…
watch out for banjo music though
that’s a tell-tale sign
Good to know, I will be upgrading my exhaust fan as soon as I can… I got the ipower 4” off amazon, definitely noticeable beyond the sound of the air movement.
I can’t get over the difference to be honest. Like I said, I doubt I will ever go any other direction unless it’s just a booster fan or necessary. You will be happy my friend.
I have a friend who built a grow cabinet using a couple AC Infinity AirPlate S3’s as exhaust fans, that are normally used for A/V cabinets, and they did an amazing job of keeping that grow box cool. If you ever build your own desktop puter, or upgrade one, be sure to get an AC Infinity fan for your PC also.
I use menards in line duct fans $35 a piece
But I have air cooled hoods also
My brother in law uses them all the time for a/v work. We have a couple of the small ones helping around the tent and in the drying room. You should see what they are coming out with for ac vents. The measure the temp in the room and pull more air when needed. It’s pretty dang cool.
Tomorrow we will be on 12/12. I chopped up some grass and leaves with the mower today, and we have mulch.
Damn man! Looking good!
