Love the colors on that flower, looks she yielded pretty well also, how tall is that plant in the 2nd pic? What a beast
Where did you get the Acapulco Gold from if you can tell. ?
It hit 9 feet to 10 at the main. I started it in early June. My earlier plants had slight brown tips from early frost. I tossed them and started over.
Iām pretty picky on plants that get damaged by cold weather or overwatered from rain early.
Seems it causes all plants to lag, so Iāll restart seeds in late April, early June, if late April early May weather does damageā¦
I toss them if they get cold damage, or redig them up and replant them elsewhere if overwatered from rain.
Then July 4th is my final planting of the year.
I love those plants. I call them independence plants, they can be stacked closely and have less issues with pest and weather and still yield nice healthy plants.
Aged fully mature plants have proven to express more 120 micron trichomes , they are not present on short veg cycle plants like full season plants.
Why I try and get them in the ground asap by April, my favorite time for what I consider full term seasons. And May 22nd being the last day.
So I complain if I donāt have my full season plants in that window, April 15th, to May 22.
Hereās an example of seedling to viable plant, April to May then dropped in garden the 24th , plant is a Hawaiian Sativa Blood . I also do a trick to get big plants with a little soil, about 4 to 5 inches and a big container for them to spread wide for transplanting.
So you can see May 24th I dropped it In the garden to grow, and took a pic.
The picture is pixelated from the SD card. Iāve got to erase all kinds of pics, from when my phone broke and I had to pull the SD card for the new phone.
The Acapulco gold is MOBs in the BH.
Interesting how she has similar bud structure and leaf color to Sour D, as well as those lil clawed leaflets seen in Sour D and SuperSkunk
I just got a pack of those AG from them and a much as I donāt care to do small space seed runs for phenotypes Iām probably going to in a couple months when my just started grow is done.
Iām gonna try and do one more seed crossing before the year is over, and use a Male AG x BH into a female Kanak Balochistan and a few other ones indoors that this season wonāt finish outdoors.
I think the Kanak Balochistan is gonna do justice on that cross.
Hereās the Kanak male into a female Maple Leaf results F1 itās getting Kanak Balochistan again.
And I did a F2 project on them.
Can anyone out there help me acquire some oldschool 2005 uptown haze genetics? I have 100s of Harlem shuffle X Iron cindy to trade. if thats not of interest i will be glad to accommodate.
Briefly, BH6 > BH7 > Church in terms of motivating energy. But thatās only one of many sides of haze. What Iād say about Bandaid is that it holds potential for a broad spectrum of selections, and Iād be cautious of writing it off based on one pheno. You might hate two and love the third, and then, there are a bunch of Bandaid lines to explore (and cross)ā¦ anyhoo, more useful smoke reports later.
Thanks for the response. Since posting this i have found many haze genes to play with.
Whatcha got planned been planning on doing some haze this year @PsillyRabbit
whoah i was really high when i replied I thought this was thread I made when I looked up.
I have Midnight mass, a few pollen chucked haze crosses and got myself a 1987 clone not haze but pure sativa
im lookin for the same thing, i have some cuban black haze s1s i got in NYC in september, i started em last month I will let ya know how they do. Harlem shuffle is a piff OG cross or suttin right? Interested in hearing more about that if you grew it out. I am interested in this bandaid 3.0 tho I read its got that wet basement funk and I havent had that type of piff since like 07,
Yes Harlem shuffle is āNYC PIFFā x platinum kush. It was awesome, I had two differnt tasting phenos. One very metalic/churchy and the other was more ādurbaneskā.
Welcome to OverGrow
Well said! I really liked the B7, and a couple in the 2.0 were a favorite of the line. the 3.0 were special tooā¦there was a bit of a weight to the effect relative to other hazes, but I wouldnāt describe it as NL or indicaā¦just heavier or introspective come on like what is associated with Colombian or South American as opposed to SE Asia or Nigerian with the energizing waves of energy.
Either way. Selection. There is a nice range to choose from. In terms of consistently finding a keeper in a pack on average I donāt think there is a better line out there. It has won over many haze curious people so massive win there as well. Itās good genetics. Beyond selection, there are outcrosses that may likely eliminate the gravity altogether.
Your pics were the reason I started searching for Bandaid @StoneGuru Beautiful plant mate
Thanks @Wizdom ! I wish I had taken more pictures of this plant. It was a similar phenotype to others found in the 3.0 population. this one produced 3.4 z per sqft.
The most significant quality of the 3.0 to me was that it demonstrated that bx the line which has meristem mutation on both sides resulted in a radical flowering
Cuban Black Haze
Bandaid
An outcross with the above plant that shows what occured in early flower. Each branch will form into its own whole branch bud optimizing airflow and light penetration for yields that would not otherwise be possible.
This Bandaid mother was discontinued because it was too powerful and introspective for what I like. It totally incapacitated a bunch of seasoned smokers. Itās just not a preference for me, but some would just love the impact.
I read the above critiques of the 3.0 being narcotic and not haze. There are different haze effects. A reminder. Among the first haze descriptions used language like devastating and do not operate machinery or drunkenness. It can be too much for some. It kind of is for me at this point.
On the other end of haze is MDA /aderol kind of feeling that makes you feel like you can do anything. It comes in waves. The CBH is thought to have been a Nevilās outcrossed to Colombian Black at some point. This might explain some of the heavy come on by accounts like @hempy
Anyway. I preferred finds in the 2.0 personally, but for me Doc D 3.0 is a beginning of proof in concept of manipulating meristem mutations
@Mrgreenthumb here is some info
That bandaid mother soundsgood to me haha I like your mda in waves description for your faves. I get that from my keeper tom hill that I found. You mentioned catching that from the nigerian too? is that the only line that checked off that box for you other than the thai hazes? I am always interested in afican genetics that are comparable in effect to the best of SE asia. The zamal seems to have that potential not many others. You make me want that nigerian even more! is there a line that captures itās effect you are working with? I heard it is all but lost.
Hey PsillyRabbit,
Can you shoot me a message so we can talk about trading for the uptown haze genetics?
By the way that Harlem shuffle metallic churchy pheno sounds like its right up my alley, I love everything piff bro, been chasing it just like you since 2002 haha so I feel ya on trying to get the right genetics,
I have been growing these really special Cuban black haze s1s that have been sold out since literally an hour after the very limited drop was posted by a small breeder I connected with from NYC, who ONLY breeds and grows with LEGIT genetics, and makes dope crosses from top dawgs, karma, and other heavy hitters.
I just picked up some crazy stuff from him last week, I got Bandiesel, which is top dawgs sour bx3 x bandaid haze, and havana heat, which is Cuban black haze x top dawgs sour, I also grabbed 2 packs of karmas sowahh bx4, and K.O.N.Y which is karmas sour bx2 x top dawgs bx4 sour, as well as PaBlowz which is Kartel haze x top dawgs bx4 sour, oh yeah and a chem 91 x banana og auto pack. Haha so Iām loaded and excited! Lets keep in touch though bro. PIFF 4 LIFE

StoneGuru,
Hey man, thatās crazy that you mentioned the strange mutation of the Cuban black haze, I am growing 3 s1s of Cuban black haze from a small breeder in nyc called exclusive genetics and I too have those mutations in each plant. The picture you posted is exactly how my leaves look on 2 of the plants, and the leaves curl up , I have to snap a pic and share it with you, so strange! I love Cuban black haze!
Stay Piffy!
