Mold is heartbreaking.
In flower, I trim back leaves and often keep near-constant airflow on the big-ones. -also try to drop humidity late in flower to ~30-40%.
This seems to help.
For me, drying on the stem takes longer than in a mesh basket. 10-days to 2-weeks (until brittle stem snaps) hanging by stem, depending on the conditions and trim-work.
At least 1-week after wet-cut and dried in basket. Minimum
Regular burping in jars for another 7-10 days. Adding 62% humidity packs and continuing to periodically burp for another 14.
Upon drying and curing, I’ve learned you’re better off just to break the big-bats apart into smaller nugs no matter how pretty.
Even if you’ve done a good job drying and curing, the larger ones seem like they can still get mold at 62% under long-term storage. ![]()
