Basement Gardens grow room

Here:

They are a bit N deficient, I don’t know if that impacts that. They look pretty typical.

I have to say, the orange on the one is nice and sweet. I’m more used to a rind or rotten smell along with the orange. So far, this one is all sweet tangerine. I have already popped more of these, going to grow them big for flower

Oh yeah, they looked very similar in terms of coloring. Especially the one in the back. Im really curious what causes it. Ive seen it in other familys too but not this consistently.

That’s the most memorable part for me. Just delicious orange flavor. Set a very unrealistic expectation for me haha i think pretty much the only orange strains that come close in terms of sweet orange flavor are tangie related.

Really curious how they smoke. It seems like two very different parents in terms of effects

Just a salt guy - fox farms currently. I have actually struggled quite a bit with feeding since I moved here almost 2 years ago. I am always too much or too little, but there are a few that look good right now! I feel like since I switched to led with red (from MH then to full spectrum led), I need to always add cal mag and many plants want more N. Usually all the way to the end.

It has been a struggle but I am getting there, thanks for the kind words!

Thank you, my friend. Have a pug

Thanks a lot @treehousegrowery :v::green_heart::muscle:

You have a great eye, Nick. 2 of the 4 main spears (she is topped) are triples. I didn’t mention it.

This one

Versus a single

Yeah, she is eating and drinking a lot haha

You as well, my friend, best of luck on the recovery :muscle:

Cheers, I really appreciate you saying so.

Here are some bubblegum x cookies and cream from calyx bros. Fem seeds.

And lastly I have two female Sonic screwdriver F2 of my own making, these will be big ones.

Cheers OG, enjoy the weekend

Mornin’ @BasementGardens

It looks like the GM is starting to show signs of sex. There are quite a few of them I’m VERY interested in. Awesome structure and scent to them!

Once I get the males separated and into the flowering stage, I will go ahead and begin and begin a thread.

I can’t thank you enough for the pack. I’ll keep you posted :v:

Great news, happy weekend @TrichomesToStun - I am looking forward to seeing those flowers.

Are you hoping to select a boy and girl and F2 them?

Yeah.

Since this will be my first “official” try at an F2’s, I want to do is two different sets of F2. One OP and one selective.

Please let me know if this sounds like a solid plan.

For the males I want to flower out 4-6 for about 30ish days. My extra tent is small so I’m leaning toward 4 of them in 1/2 gals. I’ll collect the pollen from those for the OP and save my favorite male.

For the females I’ll flower as many as I can or max of 12. Now this part is where I’ll need some help I think. Should I hit the theoretical 12 for the OP -or- select my favorites from those and re-run them for the op? The second option will take a lot more time but I’m okay with that.

If all goes will with this project (sexually/potency/flavor) I hope this to be my labor of love going forward. Similarly how you’ve done with your BB. So F4+ is the ultimate goal.

The selective will be for my favorite of the favorite.

Lastly, both OP and selective F2’s will be given out freely. Providing I make it that far

You are a man after my own heart, @TrichomesToStun :muscle::v:

I like your plan - you want to include as many plants as you can, I figure, so you don’t lose any more traits than you have to. At least that makes sense to me.

What I do, and will continue to do - is do a full repro, but also a selection. Whenever I send a pack of seeds that I made, I count an equal # of beans from each female to include. Now you can’t do much about boys/isolate pollen very easily, so that is a variable, but I figure it helps.

This also allows me to separate out beans from my selected girl and pack those separately, and just be like “orange pheno” F2 or whatever. When I make seeds, I make a lot of seeds, so it’s no issue, and I like the variety.

I am going to make my way to your thread and see how it is going

A few really nice pics here of SSDD F3, three different plants, each a bit different. Coming up to the end of week 9 here, these are the floppiest plants I have grown. These are from Sunshine Dream Genetics, I purchased a set without knowing much, my concerns are alleviated- these are nice. I am running the chem cross next.
