I bought some Comfrey FPJ on Build A Soil and it was really more of a comfrey JADAM, felt ripped off. Also, it was like $30 for a quart. That might be why some are freaking out about it because someone tried to sell them an overpriced bottle of shit? BAS is turning into the hydro-store mentality, stopped using them back in 2016.
It was FPJ not FPE?
It was the stink water, not FPJā¦ Labeled as FPJ
There is a store near me that has the pro KNF line and I must say they look pretty damn watery.
Sure, people can pay for KNF/JADAM but they are missing the entire point lolā¦ It was really designed to end world hunger and to be able to use what you have on hand, but if you are paying top $ for the stuff, you missed the boatā¦
Right you are!
This is lambsquarter and it grows in my back yard. It was another high Mn input that I found. I had this tested by soil agronomist Bryant Mason and he was Fāing excited for me. He sent me a video explaining my soil(JADAM) test results
Lawn Clippings, hoping for a high N for this one. Def the stink waterā¦
I have some lambsquarter JADAM that is close to 3yrs old now. This spring, I transferred them into clean barrels and removed the plant material in the process.
I meant to tag you on that last postā¦
Anyways, here is my AACT brewer collecting dust. Iāve had WAY more problems with AACT than I have with JADAMā¦
My first run with OHN
Nice! now im jealous, wish i had lambsquarter growing on my property. It is one of the best inputs!
Hey, I had no idea when I was looking into it. I bet that you have some gems close to where you live! Wait, you have that blueberry supply, see what I mean. Blueberry jelly hereā¦
What up Fam, been a while since I updated here. Been busy with summer and all.
The IMO3 pile is done. Iām not too sure about it, it may have gotten a little hot. Found a source for some proper mill run so I might just throw all this in the compost and start over, seems like this mostly is trich which Iām not sure is what Iām afterā¦
Started a new banana ffj this morning, should be done in time to hit the SSDDās once or twice.
Also checked in on the FAA and looks like we need some weight and a new sugar cap, lots of activity , was bubbling pretty good when I opened itā¦
Thats it for now, good vibes yāall
Iām glad you posted this as I was just checking on my FAA and Iām seeing some mold on top which Iām thinking it not great. Wasnāt sure if another layer of sugar would help or not? Or maybe it needs something else like a little LABS? Itās only two months old currently.
I think your good, if you can get everything iceburging down into the liquid and, yes, Iād put another cap on it as well.
I would add some IMO over labs if anything, Iām sure the LAB is already in there
How/where do you guys store your ferments?
Edit:
Iāve been keeping mine the fridge. But Iām gearing up to make more, and I wonder if room temp is better
I have some questions about making IMO that really isnāt covered in the literature that Iāve been reading. I live in the burbs and own several dogs who have free reign in the backyard, which is the only place im really able to bury anything. Will having dogs with their refuse around harm/help the IMO? Can I NOT bury the inoculate and place it someplace else and get the same or similar results? Do I absolutely need an IMO or will I get noticeably better results with one?
Ferments meaning FPE or FPJ/FFJ?
Is there a park nearby with bamboo? If not Iād do my best to find a place where the dogs donāt disturb, it is important to find a good ādonerā spot that has not been disturbed for sometime with visible mycelium growth. In my experience
FFJ, FPJ, and LABs mainly
There are parks around where I live but they are the kind that if I were to dig a hole and bury a box it would get me a fine. The nearest national park is over 2 hours away and I really dont want to make a 4 hour round trip just for that. Maybe I can do it in the front yard behind the privacy bushes in front of my window?
You can supersaturate and it will last a year easy if kept cool. Avoid temperature shifts and youāll be good for a while.
