He has had his sealed from what I’ve heard. The birds told me.
Like your toilet lid!

I eat two sprigs of asparagus a day, to let’s say keep things interesting.
I never met Pete as I joined the OG just few months ago. The way you keep him in the circle is so impressive, so let him conclude:
In celebration of this moment…Im going to smoke some Purple Freak and eat some jerky!
(Dec 22, 2024)
Here is one I am putting up from @Rhai88
Pete will always be missed! That dude will never be forgotten. One of the nicest people I’ve ever come across. Especially when I was newer here on OG. He gave/shared without hesitation and always helped me out with the big giveaways. I could only imagine how great it would have been to know him personally.
Rest easy Pete!
I’m growing some of his magic beans I received from him not long before he passed. Some Lemon Hashplant and want to thank him again for all that he did here. He is greatly missed. RIP Pete.
Here are a couple of pictures of the strain that you can win. They have taken over as the biggest in the garden so far. Purple Paralyzed Freak, 11 and 12 feet respectively, with at least 2 months to go.
I am going to have to get my ladder out for next weekend in order to get a better shot. It’s pretty hard balancing the tape measure and the phone at the same time, ![]()

Is the night shorter than the day where do you live? How do they get so big?
Just luck, I think. Our days get long enough in the summer, on August 14th we will be at 14 hours of daylight, losing about three to three and a half minutes a day I believe.

Maybe this,
Good beans.
Good afternoon, Growmies. My ladies say hello.
From left to right, Purple Paralyzed Freak, Frankenstein, Strawberry Banana Santa Cruz Blue Dream, Purple Paralyzed Freak.
Strawberry Banana Santa Cruz Blue Dream sounds good!!!
This is amazing, I hope one day I have the opportunity to experience the outdoors, things here are more complicated.
I think when I get back from my trip this week, I’m going to pull a few clones from it. I certainly think there’s something there to work with. It is a monster down below, giving my Purple Paralyzed Freak a go for its money.
I screwed up my LSGTK Fem. It stayed small, had weird leaves and turned male. I need to get better, lol. And it had a fascination topping that topped it. Have a great week and dodge the heat.
I never got to meet him. I’m sure he was a hell of a dude and bet he is smoking one down with my dad. I would have signed up but I already nabbed these bad mambajamas
Pete showed me the thread where he makes his own calmag. Use powdered baked egg shells mixed with equal parts vinegar to make cal readily available instead of slow release compost.
@420noob the egg shells will also help buffer the pH of the water/soil
… I used to boil egg shells and use them in my system to keep things even ![]()

We have a neighbor who gives us our eggs. We watch her chickens when she’s gone. Over a years time, we save around 3 one gallon ziplock bags worth of egg shells. I hand crush them into very small pieces and they get used in our garden.
Used coffee grounds also get saved as well. About the same amount saved. Calcium from the egg shells and Nitrogen from the used coffee grounds works wonders in our garden. The melons, squash, and pumpkins really do much better with these simple additions to the garden.
I use the egg shells and coffee grounds around the base of the veggies to top dress them during the growing season. I’ve not met a vegetable in our garden that has not benefited from this treatment. Our apple and peach trees also get some.
