Bearcatsbuds Irie Genetics Octopot Grow Journal Spring 2025

Currently on day 41 and I flipped to flower today. Going to start logging this grow in my 3x3 with 4 3 gallon Octopots. 2 on the left are Orange Gasm and the 2 on the right are Cherry Skunk, all by Irie Genetics. I’m using Silica, Cannazyme and Jacks Nutrients with RO water.

Which values for EC and pH please ?

My l the first feeding of Jacks 20 20 20 Friday was EC 695 and Ph of 5. the last feeding of jax321 in veg had an ec of 1.25 on my Apera meter, but I’ll increase the EC a little bit as I go into flower

Yes they are very fine, good green.
This is not your first grow.

How are you feeling about that light? And will you stay in the 3 gallon Octopots the whole grow?

I see that.

Irie Genetics seems to have an extended but very nice catalog.
Photos are beautiful.
And as a reggae fan, i like the fact he names strains after reggae artists.

You from Colorado too ?

I also own the hlg 300 r spec and I like them both. I think I like the light distribution of this light bar style better than the board. The octopots are 3 gallon reservoirs down below but the bags hold around 5 gal of soil I think

Yeah his catalog is huge. A lot of his stuff is supposed to be very sativa leaning so I tried to find some stuff that was more in the middle. I’m in Ohio

I’ve had good luck with HLG. Good company and very responsive customer service.

As an Octopot grower I found the 3 gallon needing more attention/watering and for me the 6 gallon Octopots gave me more time between watering as I didnt use an external reservoir.

Anyway looking forward to watching this grow :+1::+1::pray:

Welcome aboard! I do own one 6 gallon octopod that I have ran by itself in my 3x3 with one big plant but that girl took a little long. I do have an external reservoir that I hooked up to float valves in each Octopot

Daily canopy maintenance will be key to a successful stretch and flower. Going to try and do little defol until day 21f then give them a good lollipop and defoliation. This could get squirrely.
