Best lights for a 2x4 or 4x4 tent?

What are the best lights on the market for a 2x4 or 4x4 tent right now?

Greetings @Trueblu8,

Take a good look at the Viparspectra 1500XS. This is a state of the art lensed light that delivers nearly equal PPFD all the way out to the edges. Perfect for a small tent.

Available for under $100 from the Amzone and others.

I have a spider farmer 4000 currently in my 4x4 and going to ad the spider farmer 2000 in there as well.
I’m trying to cover every nick and cranny with light :laughing:
Hlg also has some amazing option.
You want about 30 watts for every square foot
Good luck and happy growing :grinning:

I’ve been curious about California Light Works as well as a few others. Staying tuned!

3x3ft or so: SolarSystem® 275 Premium LED Grow Lights | California LightWorks

4x4 or so:

Who makes a better pickup truck Dodge, Chevy, Ford? I am a 5 year veteran growing in a 2x4 tent and my suggestion is to buy two 150-200 watt dimmable LED lights for your 2x4 tent. Pretty much (IMHO) any brand as long as it has a good driver and chips.

From what I have seen on the forums with loads of recommendations has to be hlg
Scorpion diabolo 650 would be a weapon in a 4x4
I have made a order for the Tomahawk 650 but waiting for shipping in 4weekshttps://www.bing.com/ck/a?!&&p=16aad2be627d18c1JmltdHM9MTcyNzMwODgwMCZpZ3VpZD0xM2I3MDAzYi01YjI4LTY3MTQtMmUxMi0xNTNlNWEyZTY2MTMmaW5zaWQ9NTI1Mg&ptn=3&ver=2&hsh=3&fclid=13b7003b-5b28-6714-2e12-153e5a2e6613&psq=hlg+tomahawk+650&u=a1aHR0cHM6Ly9ob3J0aWN1bHR1cmVsaWdodGluZ2dyb3VwLmNvbS9wcm9kdWN0cy9obGctdG9tYWhhd2sjOn46dGV4dD1ITEcgVG9tYWhhd2sgNjUwIEJhciBMYW1w4oCZcyByZXZvbHV0aW9uYXJ5IGRlc2lnbiBoYXMgYmVlbg&ntb=1

This is what I did so I can basically have two 2x2 sections that are adjustable for multi strain hunts but yeah two small lights is really annoying if you’re a neat nick or particular/OCD about symmetry and keeping things looking just right haha

100 watts per 4 square feet is a good middle ground IMO

2x2 = 100w
4x4 = 400w

Note that not all lights are the same.

I run a SF2000 in my 2x4. It’s powerful enough so sayeth my PPFD meter.
I do love the MIGRO ARAY 4 though, just don’t need to replace what’s already working.

Looks like this

@Foreigner uses it really well. :ok_hand:

i have 4 of these, but i keep 2 in my 2x4. the others are used for autos or vegging some extra plants in case i get too many males. 1 per 2x2 is pretty strong. i am trying one in about a 1.7x3. it’s too strong for these autos at max.

I’m thinking about going all AC Infinity. But I just want the best light possible for that 2x4 space.

Hey mate Herbal House is a great hydro shop aye, I’ve been using one of their 4seasons 400w QB boards for 3 years now, that fixture really punches above its weight, going to upgrade to either the Helios 480x with the Samsung 301H chips or the 680x with the lesser spec. chips in my Eclipse 4x4 tent ( same price), I’ll see what they advise.
Good to see another Kiwi on here :call_me_hand:

Nice I’m not the only one lol.Yea I was looking at the 680x also I’d say would have to supplement co2 to run it max I use the 4seasons 220 for my veg tent flowered under it once for a play as still use hps in winter but even that was more than enough power in the small area

Hydro garden also has a treger brand or something that’s looking really promising but the price tags up there

Ac products seem to go well I know a friend using all ac gear they seem to have something for everything that 260w would be plenty in a small area
