BigMike55’s Ongoing Cannabis Log (Part 1)

That would be super cropping my friend. Nice work! I love bending plants over to where they don’t want to go. Good times.

What is the difference between Super and Monster cropping? But yeah I did a little supercropping last grow for first time. I was surprised at how well it worked for keeping a level canopy. Of course, since it was my first time doing so, I was scared to death of harming my baby girls. But after about 2-3 days they were back to where the were with seemingly, no ill effects.

Monster cropping is when you clone from a flowering plant. Once it re vegges, it should have some crazy growth. I believe most people prefer to clone from plant only 2 or 3 weeks into flower, but some do longer.

Yeah, they seem the enjoy some redirection.

Well then I guess I did some Monster Cropping too, then. I took two clones from a plant at about 6 weeks into flower because I found it was the only seed I had of that strain. I took the clone from the bottom of the plant. It took a looooong time to get them to re root but one is doing well and the other has started rooting after a couple months. She stayed green so I kept giving her water and nutes.
The other has turned into a nice plant hopefully I don’t kill her. That plant produced big rock hard buds that will lay you right down for the night. I love it!

And a little piccy of my baby girl! Aint she purty???

This is the lady I cloned from a beautiful Afghani plant when she was 5-6 weeks into flower. She is vegging nicely. I picked a branch off to clean it up some and have the brach soaking in water. Dont know if I want to clone her or not.

…and look at these White Widow flowers.

I was thinking the White Widow would be loaded with trichomes. These are not. Not yet anyways. Just thought it odd that the WW got its name because of the white frost. And there is very little thus far. Still early tho.

I’d get down and dirty with some magnification to see the trichomes. Check the buds themselves it usually shows after 2 weeks. Hard to see the trichomes if they are still 100 microns tall.

My gals never talk back to me! They know I’m not beyond bending them over and treating them rough! But they all seem to love it!

Something made my day this morning. I got up and took a peek in my veg tent where I have my CS project rolling along.
So I go in there, and I’m looking around, checking soil for dryness, etc. Looked on the floor and saw a small brown speck. Reached down to pick it up thinking it was a piece of soil. Turned out to be a seed. A real nice dragon egg seed. So my CS project has worked. Now to see how many seeds I get. Mikey be’s Happy!

Big Mike! Looking good over here bro. I’m with @JoeCrowe with the magnification thing. Out of the two strains I grew last time the better smoke of the two was the one with the least amount of trichomes showing at first. They came up alot more later. But they were most definitely there. Your going to want to give the White Widow longer any who. Sativa and all.
Keep rocking out man.

Great journal, just read through whole thing.
Those Blue Cookies look amazing :eye::eye::+1::+1::+1:

I like that they are crossed with Blue God and not Blueberry. Wonder if it’s JOTI’S Blue God? Hope so.:grin::grin:.

Congratulations on the retired life!!! If all goes well I HOPEFULLY will be the same in 3 years.

Love the diy cs generator!!!

Glad your plants made it through their cold snap

I’m sure your WW will frost up in a couple weeks.
Did you say you got them from a friend? Do you know where he got them from?

Glad to see your project is coming to fruition and hope you get tones of seeds for your efforts :grin::grin:

Great journal, you sure did a great job with those Blue Cookies, and can’t wait to see this run turn out.

Thanks for stopping by! Yes, one of my best friends got them in the mail. It was like 2 years ago. I was at his house when he got them. It was a black package with gold writing is all I remember. There were 10 beans in there. We were pretty ripped but remember him saying these White Widows are Magic Beans. Asked me if I wanted some. I did not grow at the time. In fact did not know much about strains etc. anyways he gave me exactly half and told me when I started growing I could think of him.
Fast forward to this grow. I could have sworn he told me these were feminized seeds. Cool. Come to find out they are Auto-fem.
sadly my buddy died about 3-4 months ago from “complications from Covid” whatever the hell that means. So his secret went with him. And I actually am thinking about that nutcase every time I look at his plants. I will smoke it in his honour as well.
Thanks for lending an ear. And stay tuned. Never know what I have going on.
