Up potted 3 ISS today when I got home from work.
That looks like a lot of fun right there. lol
It’s dam good. I topped a bowl of ISS with that a while ago. Three hits and I was goofy for a few hours.
Morning brother!
Morning right back. I was trying to catch up on two days of OG posts that I could not view because of ATT shitty service.
Got internet back on everything in the house except for one laptop. Can’t figger that one out. Everything is Wifi here in the house. That laptop should show my network as one to choose. It acts like it’s not even there. Weird. I will mess around with it and see if I can get it back. No big thing tho. It’s just an internet machine now anyways at about 8+ years old. Slower than smoke off dookie.
Try catching up on a week.
Haven’t heard that one before. Lol
Hey guys
Here’s a Frankenstein clone I got from @JohnnyPotseed a while back. Sure was slow to make fishbones.
Damn cuz! That was a long time in the rooting.
May have been too cool. My sister in law came to visit for a couple weeks. I had put my cloner in the shed. It has a heater but not a real good one and tons of places for cold to get in. Haha.
Better late than never tho. At least I didn’t kill them, right?
Do you scrape a little of the outer layer off your cuts Mike? I skin them a little near the bottom. Sorry I dont know what you call the outer part of the plant off hand. But I find it helps.
was going to say the same lol
It does help, yes. But that method is usually more for the cuttings that don’t have a node about 1/4" just above the cut. Like a long stem with nothing there. That’s when I do the ‘scraping’ around the base.
When Mike was here and i gave him the cuttings, I made sure to give him ones I cut right then, that did have at least 3 nodes before the cut, and the last one was only 1/4-1/2" above.
I did not this time Floyd. But I normally do.
I did like that in the past when I was cloning in dirt, in a cup. But I built that bubble cloner and have had pretty good success with just leaving the skin on them.
I think you nailed the cause of slow rooting cuz. Cold
However, you could do like @Floyd said, next time. If you keep the cloner out there anyhow lol
Yup. And when I got home I cut your cuts at an angle at a leaf node, stuck them in some collars and into the cloner. I really think it’s temp related. I am going to bring the cloner back into the house. Zee likes around 71-72 degrees so that’s plenty warm I think, without using a heat mat.
Yeah, I can see the roots just coming from the end where it was cut. But your probaly right, just slow because of temp.
When I skin them the roots will grow from that area normally.
lol I knew I liked Zee I pay higher electric bills in the winter, simply because damn it, I like it warmer in the house! I’m more comfortable at 70-72 and if it means paying for the comfort then OFW
