This post without context…
She has a floral smell like dead flowers. She changes smells a lot. Sometimes flowers, sometimes a sweet smell that I can’t put my finger on.
Absolutely majestic plant you have there @BigMike55
I’d still ask except I’d get slapped in the face.
How did you go about cloning? Just stuck it into dirt straight away?
If my BNBC were lying on the ground like that I wouldn’t be needing to buy any fertilizer for my next grow. There’d be plenty right where I was standing when I saw her!
Damn cuz! Glad you caught that, and hopefully it was in time for her to pull back through it… I always hate what bad storms can do to the plants! That B&BC is just friggin lovely! lol
Shes doing good tho. Only about another week or so in her tho. Cant wait for some smoke from her.
I have some rooting powder I use. I make a paste by adding a bit of water. Then i take my cutting, make an angled cut at the bottom. Use a razor blade. The use razor blade to LIGHTLY scrape about an inch or so of the bottom tip. Rub it well with the prepared paste. Then into the soil. Works almost 100% for me. Every time.
Really nice Mike!! Looked through a past thread of yours in hopes of finding the flowering time of the Blue Cookies to no avail!! Would you mind telling me that, please!? And if there’s a thread you could suggest, that’d be nice!!! Thanks!
You mean to scrape the skin off along the bottom inch?
@MoBilly
I said the windstorm toppled my baby. Shes doing ok overall. A small branch was ripped off. Here is a little pic of that after all the fan leaves are gone and a quick wet trim.
And you say, maybe 2 weeks left. Dude, after them buds that are left finish bulking up they’ll be 1/4 oz a piece!
I can’t stand trimming.
One can only hope. Cant wait to try out the smoke. Honestly, for all the crap that happened with her, she is STILL my most magnificent plant to date.
I want to get a wireless one like this.
You could see the moon with that.
Yes. Just lay the stem on a surface and lightly, very lightly, with a razor blade. Just kinda lay the edge about an inch or so toward the leaves and scrape it to the end, rotate and do it again. 5 or 6 times. But you just want to barely remove any skin at all. Then cover that with rooting gel and into your media. I feel this step exposes more area to produce quicker roots. And more of them. Remember that with clones, there will be no tap root, so you need as large a rootball as possible. I use beer cups. The put a plastic bag over the plant. Remember. The cutting has no roots yet, so the only moisture keeping it alive is what it gets thru the leaves. Some folks cut half of each leaf blade to get more area for the clone to get moisture. I don’t do that. I get great results without cutting. Keep it highly humid under the plastic bag. Enuff to have water drops inside the bag. About 2-3 weeks you should start seeing roots. I use clear beer cups so I will be able to see when it comes time for up potting. That’s all there is to it. Easy Peasy.
Thank you so much for this thorough explanation.
