I was kidding about canada becoming america… id hate that bro… we would turn it into parking lots and missile sights in no time flat… canada is an extremely beautiful country and I’m truly a nature kind of person… i could definitely appreciate the miles of countryside canada has… so dont think im truly serious about the whole taking canada thing … only 1 way for places like that to stay beautiful… thats for those places to stay those places

Yep, grampa n Pop taught me a lot in fishing, tracking in woods, survival skills etc

When I was young and my dad in better health he would take me fishing a lot. We did a lot of both salt and fresh water fishing. He also taught me how to hunt and track. The outdoors and woods have always been my domain.
I tried to teach my two boys the same way but neither one wanted anything to do with it and didn’t understand my infatuation.
For them it was playing on the computer and video games.
I won’t say our generation is hardier but I will say if
something ever happens to the grid in this country
a lot of young people will be in a world of hurt.

Man i would have loved to learn all of that…
My dad wasnt a hunter or any of that kind of stuff he taught me to fish like crazy… but i never learned all the safe plants to eat or whats bad etc for survival…
I spent almost all of my time in the woods when i was younger… it was so peaceful. It seemed to ground and center me… i was in the woods quite a bit… we grew up on a farm… we rented it… and the owner also rented the land to people raising beef cows…
So it was truly a country setting… those were the days man… being on acres of land no one around… just such a difference to how i live now… packed in a city right next to a bunch of people… my stress has been higher ever since we moved out of that farm (it was sold)
Im grateful for my time there for sure and i sure as hell miss it
