I just kept having fun and screwing up for years. Then I realized how much I was making others work to cover my bad picking…
It wasn’t fair to them so I had to start concentrating more on precision and helping tighten up the sound.
And then picking became a whole lot more fun than ever before. lol
I’ll probably never be a great musician but I can have fun with the real musicians and not get in the way.

Great musician is completely opinionated… i think anyone who can multi finger pick strings is phenomenal mo … because it isnt easy…

Fun quickly became passion… so while its still fun theres always a degree of seriousness also lol but its always always fun… if i saw a dude playing and he was miserable doing it… i may kick his ass just kiddin … kinda

OH I count myself as a passable to decent musician @Terpsnpurps . I play two instruments fairly well and a third in a pinch.
It’s kinda like this I used to consider myself a good musician, then I met one. There is a difference. lol

Im learning… finally after all these years… to adopt those principles … spread more positivity than negativity etc… to have fun no matter what i am doing… to pay attention to the things that matter rather than the in the moment things that SEEM to matter…

i used to drive to eastern ky . for my wifes family reuion now i have stop two or three times ,just to get there!my age won’t let me set an drive 9 hrs. straight !thru like i used to do now i need to get out and walk around a bit load back, up drive till i need to stop.
