This thread is the test of a cross between GeneSeeds’ Black Lebanon and BlueHemps’ Lebanese.
The Black Lebanon @lefthandseeds ran was a spectacular specimen, if you haven’t seen it.
GeneSeeds says it’s a cross of two different families, one highly-inbred varietal, and another from “a territory of Lebanon War” that I guess refers to the coast. The 60 day flower time and more indica-structure would also suggest a more temperate climate in the ancestry.
BlueHemps Lebanese on the other hand sounds like the same family as Ace and RSC, which are from Bekaa. The entire country is only 10,000 square km – a little smaller than the state of Connecticut, so how many distinct varietals can they really have anyway? The Bekaa Valley is one of the more harsh environments, hot and dry, with an average of next to no rain at all in summer, pretty neatly explaining the semi-auto characteristics Ace found.
Before we start, I would like to apologize for my phone. Whenever I decide to take a picture of a seedling the camera asks itself, “what is the focus of this picture?” and the answer always seems to be “Perlite!”
Thank you for joining us, we’ll be right back after a message from our sponsers.
