Wow, I’m floored. Thanks so much to everyone for all the kindness and support!! I am really excited to do this little project, and seeing so much excitement from others only gets me more pumped.

First off, I should start by Thanking @Budwhisperer and @willie for sending me 4 more seeds of Black Lotus! I literally just got them in the mail a couple hours ago, and I am going to drop them right after finishing this post! More plants are always better, so I will get them caught up to the older ones, and hopefully snag some nice clones in the meantime.

The weather has been almost constant rain, but yesterday I finally had an afternoon where I could get outside and get the original batch potted up. Where I live, rain is so rare and my fancy transplanting station(a cement mixing tub on top of a trash can lol) got all flooded from my tarp covering it, having a hole I didn’t notice when covering it. So I got that all cleaned up and loaded with some freshly amended soil. I mixed up a blend of about 75% 6 year old promix, and about 25% coco/peat mix from Botanicare that was on sale for 10 bucks a bag at my local hydro store. Then I amended some Espoma Plant Tone, Pride Lands Veg, and a little bit of Oyster Shell to prevent Cal issues popping up. The 7 plants were put into 1 gal AC Infinity fabric pots and dropped in my multi level 2x4 tent with capillary mat under a HLG 150 LED and a 7 inch vornado for plenty of air movement. As well as they got some compost tea/Buddha Grow to help prevent transplant shock. Theyre sitting next to a few other seed plants that dont look as good, but the Black Lotus’ are all looking great. That should buy me a good few weeks to let the seeds catch up, and hopefully get them all into flower by March!

wahoo for a break in the rain! I’m curious about this 2 level 2x4, could you throw up some more pics at some point? I’m trying to think of the most efficient way to use my new 2x4 as a mother/clone tent while maximizing space

Sure, its really simple. Just a good ol utility rack zip tied to the frame! top level is for teens, middle for poppin seeds/clone, and bottom for moms/bigger plants. Heres a pic from a while back to give an idea

Very efficient and clean! What lighting are you using for each shelf? You’re making me reconsider my veg setup.

Shelves are the way to go. I use utility lights personally

Plants are looking very healthy!

Thank You @willie for donating your last seeds, and thus boosting the Black Lotus F2 seedrun genepool by 50%!

Brilliant tent setup @BackyardBoogie420 . We have the same shelves. Very sturdy! I see them used in restaurants a lot.

These plants are a testament to proper storage of seeds. Thanks for the trade @Boosky (from the other site), i hope you are well, it’s been a while.
Even 10+ year old seeds can make lush-ass plants.

All you need is utility lights like Emeraldgreen mentioned! that’s what I got on the top shelf, and then a HLG 150 watt single bar for the moms on the bottom. And no lights on the middle, it gets enough ambient light to clone or sprout seeds. Of course you could add another level, but that 16 SQ ft I get from the 2 levels is already plenty for my little setup.

I’m planning to get these 4 foot LEDs from Amazon, 140w for $60, they look to be pretty good!
