Black runtz run round 3

Back for another run of the black runtz from my Ukrainian breeder friend over at strainly…staff THC. I’ve grown it a couple of times and lovely colors and terps from a purple peyote x runtz hybrid. Here are the flowers from 2024 and grapey hash sweet terps but also identified herbal body odor ones on another plant haha. Not sure if going to do small earthbox setup or grow bag we’ll see as they progress and both fems so no need to sex.

Here’s a photo from a couple years ago looking out his window with Russian bombs dropping

Grow bag setup? Whats that

Grow bag set up? Grow bags are used for mushroom cultivation.

Just a simple 5 gallon cloth bag with handles used for growing anything really… Amazon and other vendors have them everywhere these days

I love growing out of the grow bags. It’s a great way for the plants to aclimate better to the container. When the plants are done, I sit my container out of the tent or room and wait for the soil to dry up. Then it’s easier to remove the soil. A concrete tub is nice to wash the bags in. 4$ at Lowe’s, maybe more now.

Tip, also try to raise the bag off the floor and use a pan to separate runoff. Bottom of container can be a breeding ground for bugs if directly on the tent or grow room floor.

There are many different versions around now using various materials… some more porous than others but I prefer sturdy handles and liter colors especially when growing outdoors. Those dark black and brown colors add unnecessary extra heat to the root zone

Yah, i used to use the Walmart cloth bags  good for a run or 2

I’ve gone through so many different brands and sizes but the difference is pretty amazing with the low end v high end.
Here’s AC infinity 5 gallon

Cheap ass Amazon ones with crappy stitching

I’ve been playing with GrassRoots fabric pots, what sets them apart is they have an option to get the pots with a ‘living soil liner’ basically a plastic sleave that stops short of the bottom by a couple of inches.
What this does is cuts down on the moisture loss through the sides, which turned out to be beneficial for me especially growing inside in winter. A little DIY plastic wrap on the outside will work as well. :+1:

I make them work. Always clean mine out. They might not hold much after a few runs, but they make good soil containers for cooking soil.

It looks like you continue to make them look better and better. I wish we had smellyvision! The buds look like these be grapey and loud!

Thanks man and sadly they weren’t super loud but a solid smoke for sure… kind of classic grape hash not the skunky berry. Here’s the earthbox pheno which was fluffier structure

She’s a quick vegger only week 1 and moving well considering it’s got bubba in the lineage from purple peyote which is notoriously slow piddler.

Time to transplant at 8 days from germination which is def on the quicker side for autos or photos
