Black Skin tap root on seed sprout?

I have 2 seeds I was saving for a rainy day and that day hit , Decided to pop them, The father was a original Santa Marta Colombian Gold, mother Forum Cut cookies, This is Jungle Scout AKA Colombian Cookies from norstar genetics, I recieved them as testers years back.

Within 24 hours I Decided to check their progress and they had popped but looked dead inside… All I saw was black… So thinking they were Duds I started playing with the one and realized the root itself was black I thought Perhaps I burnt them, Touching it the black was actually a Skin coating it came off and a beautifully white tap root was under it. I left the other one alone to see if it grows without being interviened. The only other person I found commenting on this was also referring to santa marta colombian gold… Could this be a trait of the plant and I should really hope they live ? Never heard or seen this before and found interesting the only other reference I found was with the same genetics! previously these beans had pure white tails in the last 3 that I had .
Cheers !

I’ve heard of an extra “skin” on old hazes. May be a trait from the colombian.

FWIW, I’ve see the “black spot” before and it didn’t affect anything
