Black Tuna Coop Seedrun

All the plants lived but one of them is down to one little branch. Several more fully recovered minus a branch Or two. I have the bathroom at around eighty degrees now. I keep apologizing to them😁

All the best with the adventure :v:

It could have been very bad indeed @wisdom… Mostly because I have been taking care of these plants since last may. However I have close to 500 seeds from round 1, I think. Worst case scenario I would have to start from scratch again.

Hey, my landrace mentor!
Yeah, been lurking tho. Moved house again so no garden last summer. :frowning:
I’ve a question.
Do you think Oaxacan can grow in UK?

Just depends but probly i live right at the 38th parallel and most of the phenos finished outdoors but theres a 20week pheno that got really close , whats your parallel?

52 But I’ve had some decent returns outside previously. Maybe a combo in flower.

Dang thats up there, so do you think you got till October?

Yeah but we get the Gulf Stream from the Gulf of Mexico and that warms us significantly. I usually grow till December-ish outside.
I had a Durban and a Bhadra that finished outside here without light dep.

Thats awesome

Then you should be able to pull this off just depends on pheno

You’re too far North for normal completion, unfortunately. If you force flower 30 days before your typical flower onset it could be done. These start flowermaking at 12.5/13 light hours. Here that’s around early September. I think you could get close but I don’t know if you could finish or not. Like @drgreensleeves says, depends on the pheno. They flower pretty fast if vegged awhile.

Plants are recovered now. One about died, So I figure I will use this one and 1 other to reverse sex. There are 7 clones, 3 new females and 1 male. I see side branches coming in on the male, and single leaves…so it looks to be revegging. I did have one other runt male, not worthy. This one looks good. I see resin.

I’m done guesstimating timelines lol, but we’re marching forwards now. I need to get a proper flowering space Set up for these and it doesn’t look like I have the time to do it this weekend. I have that new 1000 watt LED I won here on OG for the flowering cycle. I’m Really looking forward to testing it out. I’ve been shy about testing it on the Masisi Preservation Because I think it might encourage hermaphrodite expressions to reveal themselves more often than with hps or metal halide. I want as many stable plants as possible.

I have leds in my shed but i haven’t flowered a landrace under them yet only vegged then flowered outside well except the daman but i was gone for that  they say that the issue often comes from the "flickering " of the leds

The plants are recovered fully from the freeze and the pure male revegged. I see a little resin on him, too.
What are you all thinking about reg seeds as opposed to fem? For me, Regular seeds are infinitely better for a Preservation, but I do understand lots of people like fem seed too.
I always let the universe guide my breeding and it sure seems to me that all this excess time was geared towards finding and using this male, so people could keep this strain around if they choose.
My train of thought is to transplant the male to gain a little bit more size ( in a 1 gallon now) and then start flowering. He’s probably big enough now, but since there’s only one…

I realize after the way i talked these up that perhaps some of you are itching to try them outdoors( or indoors) this summer.
Anyone looking to grow them now, i have a few hundred seeds from last summer and I’d send a few packs out now if someone is ready to grow them.
Some plants have great potency and others are only good. 50/50 or so. They all have great flavor, structure and flowering times. Very worthy to give it a shot imo.
