Blowgank420’s first grow

I mean like seeds found in a bag of pot bought from your corner dealer that sells weed.
I dont do led . I have 1000w hids and my area is much larger. I cant answer those question but some one will. I dont want to give you a wrong or bad answer.
If they dont we a a subforum grow room designs and your questions may get more traction there.
I wouldnt stack one light upon another though. thats a waste.

LED run much cooler than traditional HID so co2 isn’t anything you are going to need to mess with. Your light will be just fine but in my opinion I would go with 2 plants for a couple reasons. 1 you could end up killing one so you would at least have a back up. 2 you dont know the genetics yet so 1 may be good while the other could be a stinker.

One thing I would DEFINITELY invest in is something to test your PH. When growing your own cannabis it all starts with proper ph levels or you will be dealing with lots of deficiencies and issues.

I also use foxfarm ocean forest mix but dont start them in that soil until your plants have a good 4 or 5 nodes. Once you transplant into the 3 or 5 gal with the ocean forest mix you wont need to feed them anything for a good month. If you do you will likely burn your plants and stunt growth.

A month after transplant you can start with 1/4 to 1/2 dose based on the foxfarm feeding chart and slowly increase to full dose over the next few weeks with no issues.

You made a good choice with bog those were the 1st seeds I ever ordered. You have a 50% chance of getting a female. You best bet would prob be to germinate 3 seeds.

Take a paper towel and wet it pretty good with warm water and lay it on a plate. Lay your seeds on the damp paper towel and cover with another damp paper towel. Then place another plate on top, after a day or 2 you will see a little white taproot pop out of the seeds.
Then place them in the dirt …done!

Seedling and young plants like a warm humid environment so dont get them too cool or dry Try to keep them close to 80 degrees a good 60% humidity or higher.
I always just start my seed in the little peat pellets which is prob what you’re using.

No 200w is not too much but you don’t need it to be honest. I’m running 240w in a 2x2. I did use a dimmer to turn it way down though for when I started mine.

Also do I need to worry about a tds or ec meter… the local store sells

or do I not need the ec meter? The kit is like 90$but I noticed it’s a hm 80 an not the hm 200 like you have in the photo

Yes I also used the method to germinate my bog seeds…I did one in the burpees soil pucks they give an the other seed I put directly into fox farms ocean forest mix an then stuck it under my light …figured I’d see which one pops the best…lol

Man I’m in pa it’s hard enough getting seeds online let alone finding a weed dealer with bag seeds they keep laying around…I wish it were like some states where people just gift free seeds… its def an exspensive learning curve at 10$ a seed…but in going to push through an keep growing I have an awesome green thumb so I’m sure I’ll figure it all out pretty quick thanks for the advice

@Blowgank420
Most weed dealers that sell brick weed . Nickle bags , dime bags . You will get the seeds for free with the purchased weed.
Ya seeds arent cheap. Watch a germination video online . All you need is two plates and a wet paper. Wet towel the towel after you fold it in 4s. Stack the plates like clams stick the seeds in the towel and the towel in between the two plates. Stick the stacked plates in a dark warm place.
Only after you get a white tail from the seeds 1/4 inch long will you plant them .

If your growing in soil just go with the ph meter. Not saying there is no use for a ppm meter but not something I would worry about at this
If you need ph up or down the stuff on amazon is just fine and what most use. I’m guessing you prob need ph down living in pa.
