What did you think of their slh? Ive flirted with buying it several times. Ethos has some nice stuff i bet that slh is legit.

The 2 previous females I grew were awesome! The one was super dank and tasty as hell the other. Started out dank but flattened.
It would have been in the running in the cup I entered but for some reason the judges didn’t want the citrus 
well some didn’t I guess but my banana cake won so I’m not mad

Cool thanks for the respone i figured it was good. The genetics they used to make it their slh are great. They have a few options, i like the look of that slh x vintage nl5 x haze… bet its fire. Congrats on your entry!

however since last year when I had some teeth pulled my nose don’t work the same so I get used to it pretty easy. Gotta really get in em to get the full effect now

Bc slh wasnt available when haze bros or whoever the breeder was made blue dream. It came along mid 2000s i belive. I love blue dream ssh gives it that huge yield too. I dont get how anybody rags on the dream, it has it all…yield, terps, quality of high, bag appeal, etc.
I think most those people havent smoked the real deal santa cruz but knockoffs from seed. The real blue dream is absolutely top shelf. I remeber when i first tried it early 2000s, i was blown away by it.

Day 63 of flower and still throwing some pistols! Trichomes are pretty much all cloudy, but don’t want to chop yet.
Went into the Veg tent today and did some trimming/chopping on the clones from all the plants. They were getting out of hand at 2 ft tall in solo cups.
Tonight I’m going to try to do a stem rub of the 4 males and pick the one I think will be the male to make the F2s and cull the others.
Also gonna try to do some rubs and aroma smells on the girls in flower and get those locked down.

Well day 65 pics and girls are looking great. Seem to be putting on more trichomes as I flush.
Top buds are all huge 
I did some rubs on the male clones I took and cut it down to 2 from 4. I’ll have to get some pics of them, but kept both that had the best tighter node spacing and structure. #10 has more of a bush to it vs the way the females all grew.
Both smell pretty similar with one having more of a spice aroma to the rub, kinda a cinnamon/nutmeg smell and the other has a more bitter smell. Wish I could flower them out before but I don’t have the space or time for that.
The females in flower are all pretty similar with some having the sweet lemon and most having that lemon cleaner smell to them. Gonna be a hard pick between them but I think I’m not gonna use the tallest one as I want them to get a bit shorter in size or stay a medium size. @Tracker has one in his garden that is over 6’ if I remember correctly and he is doing an awesome job with them and the male he has 
I did notice 2 plants that had that sticky icky to them, was rubbing a couple buds and pulling off pistols because they stuck to my hand

Another rub/smell test of the females
Of the 6 BDSLH I have 5 smell like lemony pinesol or lemon cleaner. And one of them is a bit more sticky. The other one is a sweet lemon cleaner kinda like a candy. She will probably be what I make the F2s with. Oh and she is sticky as hell!

Well the plants have been chopped and hung. Took them down at 74 days.
Didn’t get many pictures of them as I cut them down. Was a bit busy but they all look amazing!

Day 8 of drying. Temp has held pretty good at 60 and RH has drifted up and down a bit. Had to keep on top of the dehumidifier but now need to keep it down some haha.
Pretty much through the hay smell. Also my initial trim before hanging was pretty decent so not gonna be too much to trim, which is a plus

I’ll have to second that, very nice thread! Great pairing and although it’s your first attempt at breeding I feel you’ve done a great job. You have learned a great deal on this project and I enjoyed seeing you grow in all ways

It’s been a journey for sure and still plugging away. I have to be honest this grow has been something. And I can’t wait to grow this strain out in a full pot and normal run.
I’ve been kinda just plugging them through but I can’t believe the results of these (BD1 x SLH) F1 seeds.
The mother Blue Dream was my favorite of the 3 for sure.
I’m really getting that SLH aroma of heavy citrus with a bit of stank, but it seems to be tamed with the blueberry from the Blue Dream in my opinion

I just wish I could bring the flower time down about 2 weeks

Bringing the flower time down 2 weeks would be an accomplishment. I don’t know what would happen if you would cross it with some beldia, could be a total waste of time but I have some beldia projects in my mind for the future.
But I think some strains are also worthy of those 2 extra weeks.
Growing it out in optimal condition and a big pot will be a good way to get her to fully express.
Clones should mature 1 or 2 weeks earlier than the seed runs and an alternative light schedule could be another way to shortening flower time.
Enjoy those beautiful buds, the description of the aroma has me mouth watering
