Blue dream x super lemon haze collaboration

Great work @MNGrower! Harvested at the right time. Now the best moment will come

I agree with the others, it’s a pleasure to follow this journey.

c99 was my first thought. or maybe hella jelly. both quick. c99 should breed nicely. make some selections, flower from clone…

even if it didn’t turn out quite like you thought, the results almost couldn’t be bad

You may be able to find it within selection of the seeds you’re already making, an outlier of sorts. Also, since Blueberry is already part of the genetics in the Blue Dream I think utilizing some quicker flowering Blueberry types could be great for reducing flowering time without adding unwanted traits. It could be a way to help reinforce some of the Blueberry heart chakra type food vibes in the resulting progeny as well. Maybe something in the SLH x Blueberry I sent you a while back? It would have some of the SLH component as well, perhaps a Blueberry type without any other genetics would be preferred if not wanting to incorporate more SLH. Blueberry is a great tool for hybridizing with I think and there are many quick ones that can be incorporated into a breeding strategy. Each type of population has it’s attributes in how they will affect the resulting populations fitness. Potential gene flow and such. Many blessings and much love

I do believe I have a plant of this that is a female. Came from a seed from a med dispo

@Sbeanonnamellow yeah I have your seeds. The thing I’m worried about is that the long flower came from the Blue Dream plant 1

The other 2 were less time for sure. So waiting on some testing with those also.

Blueberry is definitely an option to bring it back in check.

I think you will find some shorter flowering phenos in the Dream Feature x BDSLH seeds I’m making now.

Dream Feature is BDs1 x Blue Peaches. The Blue Peaches had strong blueberry aroma. The Blue Peaches cut I used to make the Dream Feature was the fastest flowering plant in my 2022 outdoor. The Dream Feature in the current outdoor garden seems to be flowering faster than the BDs2 and has a strong blueberry aroma with a hint of the BD sandalwood scent.

If you pop a run of the DF x BDSLH, I think you’ll find phenos that flower a little faster and still have the BD aroma.

10-4 I’ll have to have a look at that :grimacing:

Well took some samples out and got them tested on the tCheck. Here are the results.

BDSLH1

1 26.7%
5 22.8%
7 20.7%
8 22.1%
9 26.1%
11 28.2%

I’ve decided to cut plants 5, 7 and 8. They were good but gonna start moving this along :yum:

I also culled one male so I’m down to 1 male and 3 females. Just waiting for some smoke testing

Tried pressing some of plant #1 pressed out nice but he couldn’t get it off the parchment paper it was so sticky :joy::joy:

Here are some pics from trimming and the press.

So there are a couple things I’ve got from this grow to learn from for sure.

First those numbers are from the tCheck which is total cannabinoids not just thc. Sorry I should have mentioned that in the beginning for people who may not know. I usually give it a -3-4% just to be safe :yum:

So with this plant I think she needs to flower longer. I feel like I pulled them too early. Were they milky? Yes! But I feel like they could have gone longer and stayed milky.

I have others growing this BD1SLH seeds and they are growing them different ways, indoor, outdoor, soil, coco, topped, trained etc and I’m waiting to see those results.

I honestly feel like I need to grow this again in a larger pot and top and train to 1, remove the large top cola and get away from the mold and 2, to let her spread out some and branch a bit more.

This one definitely does not bush out or have a lot of branching so I think it may not be a large producer.

This plant is also a middle of the road in density of buds. If ya grow it tall you will have airy buds on lower branches. The upper buds were more dense for sure and the top cola was a rock :sunglasses:

I’m waiting to see what other people get from this set of seeds and the other 2 as those were quite different from this pheno.

Definitely more to come :yum:

Bro, I agree with all the positive remarks about your project, and I hope I can send something useful back to you from my outdoor garden.

I’m sure you will brother!
I’m still trying to nail down the aroma. It is tough, I am really having a hard time determining what the smell is without tasting it.
got another couple weeks before I can smoke again.

Well, still pushing along and waiting for some reports on smoke and aroma tests from friends.
I’ve finally gotten to smoke some so I know what it tastes like :stuck_out_tongue:

So I’ve picked 2 plants, #1 and #11, both grew great! #1 was the tallest plant and #11 was the plant I picked while it was growing and had the sweeter smell to it.

#1 is super pungent and has the sweet lemony smell with what some would call the sandalwood aroma. Very Dank, and I smoke using a dry herb vape and she tastes like she smells. More lighter fluffy buds, but still pretty middle ground for denseness.

#11 is not as pungent and has more of the blueberry smell and flavor, but not too heavy. The nugs are much more dense on this plant and it was a medium height plant.

Everyone that has smoked on these plants really liked them and got ripped :sunglasses:

I’m going to seed both of them to F2s and grow out those plants and see which one I decide to keep, but they are both bomb.
