BODHI Clusterfunk and SSDD

My man ! Its been around topping out around 66/67 with the lights on. Havent checked the low during lights out, but would guess its around 51. Ill look tonight. The rh has dropped to around 40-45% during lights on, since I turned up the exhaust fan a notch. Glad to see that !

Finally got to hit them with @nubes mix last night. I made a gallon batch, since I have 19 clones going right now it takes a bit. Plus I prefer the pump sprayer over the hand sprayer for this IPM stuff. I opted to add some isopropyl to the mix. Looking to whoop the shit out of any of these little bastards that might be still lurking, Ive read that iso kills the eggs as well as adults. I tested the theory on a fly that flew in while I was checking the garden a couple of days ago. I sprayed it with the 99.9 Iso (diluted to 25%) that I use to clean the tent and sterilize the floor. Made direct contact, and it hit the floor immediately ! Depending on how they look I will probably reapply on Friday. I am still also cleaning the tent every 2 days, with a weekly deep clean on sundays

I think the biggest thing for the health of your plants is increasing temps. Either get a heater or start to vent out the bottom of the tent so you can get temps up into the 80s during the day and not below 60 at night if possible. Your plants are basically growing in the tundra right now, and no cannabis enjoys that. They can’t fight off insects if they’re not growing vigorously.

I got a question about wines I was hoping you can help with. Our turkey day menu starts with 6 cheeses and 4 types of crackers. Two types of pate, cornichons, and a variety of olives from an olive bar.

Then we have two types of salad, a ceasar and a buttermilk chipolte ranch concoction my family’s made for years, followed by a shrimp cocktail of 16-20 wild caught jumbos.

Our main course has no turkey. This year I’m doing a 4 rib presidential roast with fresh horseradish and a couple fillets of wild sockeye that will be served with a piccata sauce. Sides include roasted sweet potatoes drizzled with butter, garlic haricot verts, smashed red potatoes and mushroom gravy, and balsamic glazed brussells sprouts.

For wines, we prefer Rhone and Bourdeaux, so I got a couple bottles of a 2017 Guy Farge “Terroir de Granit” Saint-Joseph and a 2018 Trefethen Chardonnay for the fish eaters.

How’d I do, somm? Will those pair OK?

Thanks for the input man. The day temps are around 67, lights off it bottoms out at 55. The RH has been around 35 today. I will be turning on the heat in the bedroom that the rent is in tomorrow, so that should bring it up about 10 degrees or so on each end.

Thanks for the wine questions. For the most part on thanksgiving I usually recommend just drinking what you like with whatever you like to eat. I very rarely pair red wine and cheese. I personally dont think they work together unless its the exact right cheese with a specific red. My favorite white to pair with cheese is Gewürztraminer. They are not always sweet like most people think. A good dry one for pretty cheap is Helfrich from Alsace. The Bordeaux will be perfect with the Rib and shroom gravy. I absolutely love that St Joe Granit ! Killer juice. I could see it being good with the rib, but not as perfect as the BDX. I think the St Joe would be fun with the pate’s. The Chardonnay will be great with the cheese, the salmon and the shrimp.
My personal favorite 2 reds for thanksgiving are either pinot noir (not cali) and Cru Beaujolais from either Fleurie, Morgon, or Julienas. For whites besides the Gewurtz, I like dry or off dry Rieslings. The bone dry ones can be a bit aggressive for some folks though. Especially on their own. A good Chenin blanc is always fun too, my favorite is Baumard Savienniers from loire valley france.
Hope your thanksgiving is awesome. Enjoy the feast !

77/65 will be good temps. Can’t wait for that I bet! Plants will perk right up. What light cycle you got them on? Humidity might suffer but what can you do? Seems like something that’ll work itself out the bigger the plants get.

Thanks for the response about the wines. I’m excited about the Granit, thinking it will meld well with the rosemary and thyme in the roast - we used to get this fucking amazing Morgon that was practically a daily drinker…cheap too, but that was years ago. I should have been clear that I meant pairings for the entree only so I’m glad you approve. I’m a dry whites guy myself, but I’ll take your suggestion on the Gewurtz.

I was chef at a German winery for a couple years in the late 90s, but I tend to prefer the unoaked west coast chardonnays to the rieslings. But French Loires are fantastic as well. My girlfriend drinks cheap white wine or rose over ice with stinky cheese, but she’s a heathen. lol At least I’ve upgraded her taste buds from 2 buck chuck and she appreciates a real red. Just gotta work on those whites…

If you ever find a case or two of something special fell off a truck, let me know… :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Happy Thanksgiving ! Thanks for the reply @nube.
My light is on 18/6 still. Has been that way since I moved the clones in there. I always keep the light in the clone tent on 24 hours when in use.
Right now my off cycle is between 9pm and 3 am.

I noticed some burnt leaves today. They looked identical to the damage that occurred last time I used the recipe with the added wettable sulphur. The damage just wasnt as widespread as with the sulphur. I sprayed from left to right in the tent, and noticed the ones on the left were worse off than the others. I removed the dead stuff today. I will just see how they do for the next day or 2 before deciding the next mode of IPM.

Very cool that you worked as a chef ! Although I love German Riesling, if you want to try some good dry ones, the 3 A’s are a good bet. Austria, Australia, and Alsace all make very dry Rieslings, roughly in that order. Unfortunately Austria gets lumped in with Germany in the minds of most Americans, but the wines couldnt be more different. Unless stated on the label, Austrian wines are invariably dry. I have had several from Claire Valley Australia that are seriously punishingly dry. The super dry rieslings will hurt you if you drink them without food ! The acidity is enough to take the enamel off your teeth.
I always am coming across closeout sales and stuff. Just bought a bunch of stuff for around 10 bucks a bottle

Are you actually seeing any pests right now? Or are you doing the whole IPM thing as a preventative? If you’re not actually dealing with any issues, I’d suggest holding off for a couple three weeks. There’s no need to go overboard, especially if it’s starting to affect plant health. That, coupled with the fact that your temps are so low, may be doing your plants more harm than good.

But how much will you be selling them for in the restaurant? That’s what matters haha!

Not seeing any pests, but I havent scoped them, which is really the only way to see broads. I should, it just always freaks me out lol !
My temps are a bit warmer now since I turned the heat on. Trying to be sparing with it and keep it low, so the wife dont freak out. Its running at 73 with the lights on right now. I doubt it will drop below 60 tonight during the off period. They definitely all looked like they are popping through a growth spurt today. Although the severely damaged ones are still stalling. I feel the need to stay on the sprays as a preventative, since I know that they (broads, and others) are in my area. They will wreck shop quick if left unattended. I am planning on continuing the sprays until day 7 of flower, after that I just gotta pray, and keep the area as sterile as possible.

Probably on the list for around $40, which in a resort town is pretty damn cheap. The wines will be a good deal, since I got them at half price, the standard markup being around 30%, most other places these wines would be listed around $60. My markup would appear to be only double, but I will be getting 4x instead of 2. I make my boss so much $$$$

Sorry about the recent lull on this thread. Its been real tricky. At the “other” spot, where I have the 3 plants in flower, my buddies roomate got the Rona, so I wasnt able to stop by to get pics. I probably shouldnt sweat it, but I didnt want to get it again, most likely will anyway, ski resort life !
I managed to swing by last night and check on them. My buddy was worried that they were not filling in enough. I will get pics up as soon as I can, but they looked ok to me, except a few dicks I found on the ssdd  I know I can pick them off but I just dont want to keep a plant that has that tendency. Landlord has been at my place everyday for weeks now, so its been super hard to get anything done and move forward. Hopefully today is the last day of it. I will be back with some pics later

No big deal. We’d rather have a lull in the thread than you getting sick. Hope your buddy’s okay.

That sucks about the sacs on the SSDD. I just found some sacs on a non-Bodhi strain I’m flowering right now. First time that’s ever happened to me.

on my one strain the big bud it can toss out a handful of pollen sacks near the end of bloom, and it can also produce 1-2 seeds per crop. I don’t hold that against it, it’s my number one hash producer

I have something similar, a photoperiod CBD plant that tests out at 20%+ CBD.
The CBD concentrate is spectacular. I can live with some Rodelization for that yield.
It is feminized seed that produces … feminized seed…

Recursive humour… an acquired taste

Some flower pics from a couple of days ago. This would be day 62 of flower for these 3. I dont think any will be keepers, but the clusterfunk “runt” might be the only one in contention.
This is the SSDD (#3 pheno). Was a monster in veg, and is beautiful in flower, just a great looking plant. Was really bummed to find the dicks on this one.

Here is a couple of close ups of previously mentioned dick

Here is the clusterfunk “runt” - Nice dense nugs, decent frost, hopefully it has that flava im looking for.

And finally the other clusterfunk (#4 pheno) -the stretchy one, a super fast and vigorous grower, but very slow to develop flowers. The flowers are much looser and more fluffy that the other pheno. Even though they were all flipped together, this one is way behind the other 2.

I already culled the remaining clone of this, since it doesnt appear to have any traits I am looking for. I dont like fluffy/loose buds, plus the structure of this plant wont work in my setup without major training.

I also culled a clone of the ssdd above, however I have 1 left, that I am planning to take a cut of before flipping. Likely will not run it again, but just in case the buds are fire I decided to keep it. Still plenty of phenos of each to flower in my tent. Hopefully that happens soon. Got to get my veg tent sterilized and set up before up planting then flipping the flower crop. I will get some pics up of the vegging clones asap

Update : So I havent sprayed anything on the veg plants now for 20 days. They are looking much better, still seeing some sort of damage, but not sure if its pest or from the last spray, which left me with dead/damaged leaves for weeks, although I havent removed any in several days. I have been keeping up on my cleaning regiment, the tent, and everything in it, is spotless. I also think the warmer temps are helping. Its been 77-78 with lights on and around 68 lights off. rh has been around 37- 50 %. These will probably be the last pics of all the plants together. I will be flowering 7 of these. I just need to get my veg tent setup and also up pot the lucky 7. I got it all sterilized yesterday, but realized I was missing a pole. Hopefully at the “other” garden. Today would be day 46 of veg for these clones. Couple of group shots here

A bit of the leaf damage. Only on a few plants

it almost just looks like leaf tip burn. All the new leaves coming out fine? Or do they grow out then get a strange tip later?

Great thread. I always prefer grow threads that focus on the practical and this is good stuff!
