BODHI Clusterfunk and SSDD

Things are definitely getting spicy around here now. Lots of stuff to do, more than I seem to be able to keep up with ! Here are some pics of the Clusterfunk #3 at day 30 (yesterday) Everything is going well, however I suspect the ph of my feed has been a bit lower than desirable for a bit. It has the flower structure of the #5, but on the frame of the #1

This is the Clusterfunk #1 pheno. This plant looks great, I didnt get to see this one flower on the first go around and I am excited to see how it comes out, best looking of the clusterfunk so far. Nice long, spear like flowers, the other 2 phenos both have more golf ball nugs. Most similar to the best of the SSDD on the first go, the #3, which also looks great this time around.

A couple of pics of the whole tent. This was today, at day 31

And the final Clusterfunk pheno, #5. This is the one I ran at my buddys place, so I have seen it finish. This is the non stretch pheno, with golf ball nugs. Probably wont run this one again. Not a bad plant, just not exactly what I am looking for.

Funny how its always so exciting starting seeds ! I just planted all 7 of the mothers milk f2 that i germinated. My seed starting method remains relatively unchanged. I soak in a glass with distilled water, overnight, but always for less than 24 hours. Then I put them in paper towels on a plate, also soaked with distilled water and covered with plastic. I used to always just leave them flat in a dark spot til they cracked. After being on here and seeing someone mention keeping the plate upright, so the sprouts grow one direction (down) I adopted this technique this time. It definitely keeps them from getting all curly and I will continue to practice this. Not planning on doing a separate thread. I am keeping this one dedicated to the 2 strains in the title. However a pic or 2 may pop up before this one is finished. After this, if these runs are both successful, I plan on moving on to do the Nibiru f2 project.

A couple of sub par pics of the ssdd #4 pheno This is the one I am currently pinning my hopes on for the ssdd. The #3, which is the beast that I got to flower at my buddys place, doesnt quite have the smell, taste or effect Im looking for. None are quite what Im used to. The #2 Looks similar to the #3 but with buds that look like the #4. The smell isnt very impressive. Kind of a waxy, oily, almost a hint of chamomile. I will try to get some pics up of the other 2 ssdd tomorrow.

Finally a few pics of the 2 plants I havent shown yet this week. The Sunshine daydream #2 and #3. The #3 is the one that ran at my buddys place, the #2 isnt very impressive so far. Here are some pics of the #2. The ph damage is noticeable. Figured out that my mix has been too low recently.

Here is the #3 pheno. This was the beast and winner of the grow at my buddys place. I mentioned during that time that I found a couple of dicks on this one when it ran at my buddies. It was towards the end of the cycle. I ended up tossing the backup cuts that I had of it because of this. However it never grew more, it only had like 2 herm flowers, and they didnt pollinate anything since that harvest was seed free. I am confused by what is going on with this plant this time. It is obviously a faster pheno. It jumped into flower way faster than the other phenos, both times around. But its only day 35 and this thing is showing signs of ripening ? I suspected rouge dicks, but spent a ton of time looking now and havent seen any male flowers. Also this appears to be the only plant doing this, with the exception of a couple of random flowers on the Clusterfunk #5. I dont get it, maybe the low ph triggered something, or this is just a unstable pheno. Nice looking buds, but not that exciting in the smell department.

The other thing that has me bothered is the RH levels. I have 3 different monitors that all are giving me dramatically different numbers. Yesterday the ac infinity monitor said 69% ! However the remote monitor said 35%, and the analog monitor said 55%. Today they are all a bit lower, with the ac infinity, still the highest, saying 50%. Neither of the others are as high as that. I am considering running a second intake port if these high numbers keep popping up.

I find relative humidity makes no difference as long as you’re above 35 unless your pumping 60,+ without alot of air movement then be watching for pm.

I’ve had plants do that a few times, with the red/brown pistils earlier than I anticipated. With the Mendo Purps/SSDD testers I ran, it did mean that they were early finishers (done in six weeks, actually). But with other plants, like the Starkillers I just harvested, it didn’t mean anything. I chopped those on day 67, even though there were some flowers that had those withering pistils right around where you’re at, day 35.

Plants look good either way. I don’t think that #3 looks so bad. Still has plenty of time to swell…

I think the #2 might be nutrient lock, aka too much nutes. It does have the classic “claw” look to it.

Some fresh-ish pics from day 41. A couple of the whole group.

Although the pics give you the general idea, I would like to step that aspect up. I wonder if the gopro I just got might do better than the phone. Or its just the leds making stuff tricky ?
Anyway, here is a flower shot of…

…This plant, which is the SSDD #4 pheno, is Bubba like appearance

The last one here is of the Clusterfunk 1 pheno, which is my favorite in appearance so far…however today I found 1 single banana protruding from the very top of one if its top flowers. I picked of the dick and searched the rest of the tent for any more, but found none. From looking at the trichs trough the scope it looks like im closer to 2 weeks away than 3. Today is day 47, so these will probably finish around day 65. I am shifting them to flushing. I will use straight tap at first instead of adding ph down. Hopefully this might help balance out the soil ph which I suspect is on the lower than desirable side. My tap is around 7.

The Mothers milk seedlings are a bit behind where seedlings should be at this time. All in all im pretty happy with how things are going. I will be getting more pics in a few days. The day 50 shots are always pretty exciting.

Great to hear ! I have high hopes. Starting seeds is always so exciting, wish I had the space to just keep popping everything in the collection. Bummed I somehow missed out on those wolfpack you donated, but you know how it goes- jah always provides when then time is right. I will get a pic up of the MM asap.

I have some day 50 flower pics. This time I decided to experiment and use my gopro to take the pics. Im not too sure they are a improvement over the cell phone. Anyway, they are definitely looking pretty sexy now, and every day they are changing a bit. Unique smells and colors starting to come out. I will try to post pics more frequently through these final 2 weeks of flower. I am getting really excited to have my first successful harvest in 5 years ! Hoping to nail the dry/cure, which is were the last crop went wrong. The first round of SSDD and Clusterfunk dried much faster than I anticipated, then to extrapolate things, my buddy didnt let me come by to start the cure process when I knew they were already overdry. Im really shooting for as close to perfection as possible. Then I will finish this diary with a detailed smoke report. Here is the group

This is the SSDD#4- my favorite in appearence and growth so far. This is is Bubba leaner

This is the SSDD#3 The heavyweight pheno. Im using the corner of the tent to prop up her branches which are flopping around due to the bud weight. Didnt really like the smoke of this one too much when I ran it from seed, although it was the best of the first 3 that made it through flower.

Clusterfunk #1

Il get some more pics up in the next couple of days. I hope you all are well my friends ! Sending positive vibes to all of you.

Looking good! You’re in the stretch run now. Careful about letting the flowers of the #3 rest against the walls of the tent like that. I’ve seen a few grow logs where people did that and their buds developed mold.

Not enough air flow, mine lean up again the sides all the time.

Claw can be a number of things.

I dont think its either of these motz. My temps havent gotten above 76-78 with lights on, and there is no way I am over watering. I use 1/2 gallon of water/feed per 2 gallon pot, and probably water twice a week. By the time I water the pots usually have developed a space between the soil and the pot. I experimented with the dry cycle early on and found out how long it took for the plants to start to dry out and wilt. I try to time the feedings so that its just before they would have wilted. Those claws are almost certainly from a really low ph condition, or too high of ppm. Fortunately its really only the one plant that is showing that condition.
I have been checking the trichs with the scope daily. Most are just starting to have a few heads turning amber, they are looking nice and bulbous. I used to harvest based on the percentage of pistils that had changed color, but I found the best terps come when it is timed with trich ripeness.
