Finally got a bit of time to get this thread up to date ! Sorry for the delay, harvest, reset and life have combined to take most of the time I have had recently.
It took 10 more days from my last post for most of the plants to start looking ready enough. That brought me to day 70. I harvested the SSDD #3 and the Clusterfunk #5 first. I did my last watering on day 64, so those 2 went 6 days without water before chop. They were flushed for 22 days. Here a some final pics from day 69. This is the SSDD #3
Here is the Clusterfunk #5 on the same day.
Next I chopped Clusterfunk #3 on day 71, one week without water, 23 days flush
I noticed that the clusterfunk was more difficult to trim than the SSDD, just more leafy areas along the stems and stuff. Here is the Clusterfunk #3 at day 70
On day 72 I chopped the last 3, the SSDD #4 and #2, and the Clusterfunk#1. 8 days without water 24 days of flush.
Here is the SSDD#2 on day 69
Here is the Clusterfunk #1 day 70
The entire harvest took me about 20 hours to trim. Longest plant was the ssdd 3, which took 4 hours, the quickest was the Clusterfunk 5 at 2 hours and 30 minutes, most the rest were around 3 hours per plant. Since most went quite a while without water before chop they dried out quickly. I had started putting the first ones I chopped into curing jars before I had finished manicuring the last ones I chopped. They have now all been curing for 9 days. The SSDD 3 is getting burped the most. Several of the others I left closed for 5 days. I will give the harvest weights and a smoke report after the cure starts to slow down.
A bit of unfortunate news. I ended up killing the SSDD#4 mom and the Clusterfunk #1 mom. These were the ones I figured would be the keepers. I loved the way the ssdd4 looked and grew from very early on and it looked fantastic at harvest. The Clusterfunk 1 was also the clear winner of that strain. Big chunky nugs, the best structure and nice frost. I just got caught up with trimming and let them go a bit too long without water. Of course the other 2 moms I had both survived fine, but they will not be kept. I have uppotted them and they will be getting flowered. They were originally jus being kept as backups in case I didnt get enough females of the Mothers Milk f2 seedlings…
That didnt go so well. As of today I believe I only got 1 female from the 6 Mothers milk seeds I started. The runt is still indeterminate, but is looking like a dude to me, still gonna wait to cull til I see nuts. Thats just the luck of the draw with seeds. At least the one girl I have looks great ! I took 5 cuts off her today and plan to flip tomorrow.
Since I only have that 1 female MM plant and the 2 less desirable moms to run for the next crop I was concerned. 3 plants in that tent isnt quite enough to make the run worth it.
I decided to try one of the GG4 autos from @nefrella to help fill in the space. I germinated it in cup and paper towel, and planted it yesterday, hoping to see it above the surface tomorrow. First time trying an auto ! Curious about upplanting ?
Best regards to everyone on here, looking forward to catching up on some of your threads soon. Stay safe my friends !
