Bodhi Guide - Seed and Strain Discussion (Part 2)

WTF is that?! Lol.

I understand as I feel that way with my grows but do know this is immensely helpful for us. Most buy packs and are so behind on the newer releases. Your grows are awesome and the bud looked killer. Thank you!

“big buddys lavender”

It is the hawaiian and or the korean that gives the pink pistils cuz they have both been known to. Similar to hawaiian that bleeds red in dragonblood hashplant. Everything red !!! A lot of old south east asian strains were brought to HI.

Hey man, though I never really posted there myself, I always enjoyed your posts on rollitup. What can you tell me about Cherry queen mate? I have a pack of these but some of the other online feedback that I’ve seen on her suggests she is a little light on potency, so I was wondering what your experience with her was.
Cheers mate!

Heres 3 zap females around day 21. Left one had a good amount of balls… plucked them hope none more come. Flowered them pretty small in 3gals to keep them manageable. Interesting musky citrus scents and very narrow leaf. Hope I keep them happy enough to get some nice bud - dont need much sativa but do enjoy it for biking and hiking.

Plant them. Potency is fine, most plants sport w i d e leaves but a few more narrow. We like it here. Not huge and maybe a bit below average size. Bushy enough to train and buds are very firm in clusters like tiny pine cones.
There is some variance among individuals but not extreme.
Not a morning high and a bit sedating. Smells were on the loud side with Pine or turpentine and skunk at times.

Thought I’d drop these here some Lavender Jack S1 I made from my selection of LJ, 1st pic is just like the mom I kept. Floral earthy and citrus

That looks great. I’ve never seen a bad LJ grow. There’s a reproduction about to go down.

That’s mainly why I knew the community needed them, I had them listed for sale in a few places originally but I’m glad I decided to donate them, feels more “right” haha

Anybody else pick up the Orgasmic Hashplant? I’ve got to believe there is some :fire: and good medicine in there.

Unchecked hype is often a source for disappointment and can do more harm than good in the long run, so figured I’d re-post my thoughts on LJ that I’ve grown. I do agree that there are a number of people that do seem satisfied with their LJ plants. It certainly has ornamental value if that’s what we’re looking to preserve. Baseless hype doesn’t even help Bodhi. If this was the first seed pack that I grew from Bodhi based on recommendations from this thread it would likely be the last pack I buy from him.

I’ve grown 4 phenos of Lav Jack, one being the NN cut that a few people on here have. I’ve shared that cutting locally with other growers and the consensus seems to be that it’s “instagram weed”, which is also how I felt about the other 3 phenos that I grew from seed as well. Did nothing but made me tired - looked and smelled good though. Even the Sativa looking phenotype that I found was just like smoking Nyquil. Smelled amazing, tasted really good, but falls flat when it comes to effects. There are much more impressive options from Bodhi, including ones that are currently available at the vendors such as Space Monkey.

All 4 smoked exactly the same and ended up giving all of my excess flower away.

An honest assessment is always appreciated!!! As are your wonderful images.

I have a pack of LavJack, but will prioritize growing the Purple Empress (Vintage Jack Herer x Purple Unicorn F3) for my Jack fix based on your review.

Don’t you have a pack of Triple Sunshine (tk x ssdd)? Should just pop those and make seeds while you’re at it! I’ve seen nothing but high quality plants out of my pack. They are also photogenic for what it’s worth.

Totally get where you’re coming from but so many people are searching for weed that puts them to sleep… sounds like they should be trying to get that NN cut? Lol the pheno I kept for a few runs was more psychedelic/dreamy and relaxing in a benzo sort of way but never anything that put me to sleep. I wish it did or I would’ve kept it… haha

Guess I should edit this and add that I grew out 5 different females from my pack and none put me to sleep unfortunately

@syzygy Those are some amazing pictures. I feel like someone just asked what could put them to sleep in the past week.

I love to research others’ experiences before I buy a strain, and I do weigh that information as I make my choices, but every experience shared/read must always be taken with a grain of salt IMO.

Each person experiences and responds to strains differently. Keep in mind some of us are chasing totally different effects. Since each plant environment is unique, being grown and fed differently, we can not all expect to have the same experience. Terrior is going to be the manifestation of nature vs. nurture on your flower, affecting phenotypic expressions too. Add to that, the genetics in each pack can vary…

Researching opinions of others is just a strong starting point for me. MiniTiger says it somewhere well (with more flair of course): I’m going to grow what I think has potential even if there are bad reviews floating around.
