(Broken record for anyone who’s heard this before) I grew a pack of Reef’s release of Petrolia Headstash, i.e. presumably from the same seedstock Bodhi used to make his F2 release, but I also F2d them. I had some flower from cuts from that pack, and I tried some off my F2s I grew, and both had an odd scent/flavor, reminscent of camphor or tea tree oil. It also pretty leafy and I didn’t find the high remarkable. Could’ve been an issue on my end, but Reef had always said that it could make for a good breeder but that growers shouldn’t expect connoisseur level flower from the pure Petrolia Headstash.

Idk man before recreational laws passed in cali those events were pretty awesome, people can act like they are too good for that kind of thing if they feel so inclined, to each his own.
but I do remember Emerald cup 2013 like it was yesterday, discussing hash techniques with Frenchy Cannoli and sampling a lot genetics in flower hash and dabs from various breeders before buying the seeds those are among the best memories I have from when I lived in California

I might have missed the conversation but every state I’ve been to and lived in pre legislation and post legislation is night and day and honestly I think it was better on all of us pre legislation and when it was just medical had some of the best laws, rec really screwed everything up but that’s just my 2 cents for what it’s worth

Yah man, i met BOG and his wife at a Hightimes festival 2017 or 2018 in the IE. I cant remember exactly, that time was a blur in my memories 
I worked dab bars and veteran non-profit tents for like 2 years right there at end of prop 215…San Bernardino and Victorville were always popping off

My buddy is over in the bay area. Used to go to pretty much every cannabis event before legalization but doesnt go to that many anymore. He describes it as a vibe shift around 2019, where before it was a bunch of folk who loved the plant showing off their work, a lot of the events he went to kinda became more about brands marketing and networking.

Currently having my petrolias being pollentaed my my kashmir azad. And I’ll be doing a seed increase of the petrolias after this seed run. 
I have 5 that made it out of my pack 2 are really stunted from aphids that might make it might not we will see. The others were popped before those and 2 females and 1 male.
1 female looks Like Hindu Kush and the high feels like how a hindu would be. And the other is a short squat afghani pheno, that’s definitely more narcotics then the other.
The Hindu leaning one is earthy, pine, orange citrus. While the squat one is similar but more earth chocolate.
They seem easily stress by being rootbound/ other environmental factors.
Both of mine hermed around week 7, but everything was less then ideal environmentally.
Can’t wait to give those two another go next round. They are both very anti anxety and the world feels right when having them. I like modern things. And I would say they are potent but your gonna have to find the right one. Also clear headed and non disassociating unlike common hybrids.

…reading your Holy Hand Grenade report, and I know you have a hard time describing the aroma, but was it Sweet (fruity), Sour (Lemon), Earthy (Soil), or just like spices, Peppery, or?.. Any info will help. thanks

I know what you mean…, I’ve had other Nigerian that had a “Lemon-ish” Pepper smell… and just wondering if Bodhi’s was similar, or something entirely different.
Bodhi describes it as “earthy”, so I would think like “earth”
I remember, way back in the 90’s, there was “hydro” - and the only way I could describe it would be a “fresh” smell… And anytime there was “hydro”, it remined me of “fresh earth, forest air” type aromas… so hard to describe it accurately though…
