Bodhi Guide - Seed and Strain Discussion (Part 3)

Damn those look awesome. Love to score a few for the future for sure.

Never grown Bodhi gear but I read great things from everyone. I’ve found it hard to research his strains though, does anyone know if he has any current offerings that lean in to the diesel/sour or fuel direction? Not big on floral/sweet/dessert expressions.

I believe at least a few are old releases (possibly all) just more rare packs

I seen he had a sour diesel (JP cut) x 88g13/hp some where maybe like a month ago somewhere but I doubt it’s still available. You gotta be quick on your toes with bodhi’s stuff. Honestly though you can’t go wrong with any of his stuff hard not to find a keeper in every pack. I loved his snow lotus x’s but sadly they are no longer available.

Thanks for the suggestion, I’ll have to watch more closely for his releases!

Hollyweed v2 (Topanga PK) is a seriously badass plant. I got lucky and found a keeper in my first run.

It tastes very similar to Katsu’s Bubba Kush with a little extra hash flavor. The yields are amazing and I have to support the branches or they’ll literally break. If anyone wants a heavy narcotic nighttime buzz with some delicious real kush flavor then I highly recommend it.

I’m curious if/how this particular Hall of Flowers run is different than the pack that was previously released.

For what its worth, most bodhi packs dont sell out immediately and the vast majority are available multiple times.

That SD x hashplant was sitting at GLG for a few years. That dad has been retired for a few years now. If it’s something with a retired dad, definitely worth jumping on if you want it. I believe i heard all old stock thats meant for sale has been distributed.

He is just pulling packs from his personal stash so its likely the same packs/seedstock that were previously sold.

That’s why I was so curious about it. I’ve got a pack of v2 and the lineage is the same Topanga PK x 88G13HP. I’m pretty sure a “remix” would typically come after an original, but we’re all stoners here so who knows :upside_down_face:

…V1 was Hollywood PK as opposed to the Topanga? Or am I mistaken?

Sorry I didn’t mean everything but from what I noticed a lot of the time when bodhi puts out x’s with a popular cut that you want its best not to wait cus some of his stuff sell out super fast after being released and sometimes it will be awhile before you see them again and maybe it will be a one time thing. Seed banks sometimes put a buy limit on some of his new releases when there limited stock because there are people who have the cash to go and buy up 10 packs just to store in the fridge for a few years.

No worries, its definitely a bit of a weird transitional period where he is just getting going with his new space and also clearing out a lot of limited back stock.

From what ive gathered talking to the folks at great lakes, he does remake some stuff if he has both original parental clones. However he has been doing a lot of more limited stuff recently like the medicine mountains and the super natural selections so some of the drops take a bit of nuance to understand if theyre going to sell out forever.

Like all (or at least most) the Lav lemonade strains have been restocked a few times now. I think breeder direct seed co (or one of the other places, correct me if im wrong) also prices more popular stuff higher so it usually doesnt sell out as fast

Ya you’re totally right, v1 was Hollywood PK. This one isn’t labeled v2, but that’s what it appears to be. Anyway, I highly recommend the v2/Topanga to any old school kush fans, it’s a winner!

In the topanga racey? I ask because it’s always been described as “heady” .

It can be a little racey at takeoff, but it hits alot more like a hashplant after that initial wave of 10-15min or so. I think the Ghash adds a bunch of yield and body effects, but the flavor profile is a very pronounced earthy kush that sticks to your mouth. My best comp is like a Katsu Bubba Kush with significantly better yield.
