Bodhi Plant and seed guide (Part 1)

Bodhi just dropped a bunch of strains with that male on GLG. There was a Purple NL2 that sounded awesome, but by the time I saw the email it was gone.

I grabbed the cherry unicorn and the unicorn milk. The purple nl2 sold out quick as hell.

Ya just because a male is no longer with us does not mean there isn’t crosses dropped with it. It just means they are all limited to what he has in stashed away as no new ones can be made. Other then if he has pollen of course.

I feel your pain on missing out. I gave up on trying to catch drops a long time ago. Shitty internet doesn’t help with them lol

I believe the Bodhi cross of Skywalker og and 88g hash is called red eyed jedi. Sold out pretty quick back when it got released several years ago. I found some f2’s other members here had made. Its on the backburner now, but I cant wait to give it a try. I would like to cross it with ssdd- “Jedi sunshine”

F !! Of course the drop happened while I was out of service, camping. Been hawking all the sites waiting for the drop for weeks, then it happens as soon as Im out of service !

I have never tried it but have also never seen anything about it that wasn’t kickass. Should be some real gold to be found in the f2’s.
I love the idea of Jedi Sunshine

Hey guys, first time poster here,

I just had a bad experience with my first ever Bodhi pack - 11 out of my 12 Super Silver Hashplant seeds turn male at week 5 of Veg. Can’t be sure who is to blame - what is done is done so I decided to order another pack to try.

I have decided I want to go for '88G13/HP cross from what I’ve read. I have a choice between:

soul food
mindfulness
kashimir 22 x 88g13/hp
havenly hashplant
herer hashplant
grandma’s hashplant
dragons blood hashplant
lemon g x 88 g13 lemon hashplant

Any recommendations are welcome. I need something that takes no more than 10 weeks and is reliable. Yield is more important than potency.

Thanks guys, that thread is an awesome resource.

Hey there , welcome to OG.
Just a heads up that sex showing at 5 weeks is kind of early. You may of actually had some females that just hadn’t yet sported the hairs.
That being said high male counts do happen sometimes and it is actually nobody’s fault. Just luck of the draw.
I can’t comment on the HP crosses as I have never grown any . But I can say it seems a lot of people feel it is their favorite Bodhi father plant.

Blame luck of the draw.

I am more inclined to blame myself. It is my first time with regulars and I didn’t know many believe environmental stress can influence sex. Still, none of my other strains did that.

I can 100% assure you it is not yours or anybody else’s fault.
If environmental factors could influence sex it would be widely known what and how.
It is little more then a theory that has NEVER been proven.
Sex in regular seeds is simply luck of the draw.

If you want big yields and easy to grow plants that support themselves go with the Cherry Queen from bodhi. Huge yields of sour cherry nugs.

What @avr1 and @anon60559124 said: luck of the draw, dude. It happens. Definitely ain’t Bodhi’s fault. It’s not yours, either (should I insert a “Good Will Hunting” meme here?).

All of that crap about “environmental stress” or “root bound” issues or cold floors or whatever turning plants into males is nonsense. You just got eleven male seeds. Sucks, but it happens.

Personally, I’d go for the Herer Hashplant if you’re looking for a replacement for those Super Silver Hashplants. Nube did a nice write-up of that Herer Hashplant somewhere in this thread, if you haven’t seen it yet. That’d probably be the closest thing to your Super Silver Hashplants that turned out male.

Man, that Cherry Queen really does yield, doesn’t she? I saw that grow report a while back on icmag and thought it might be an outlier. But your pics confirm it. I saw seeds for sale somewhere, may have to grab a couple packs… How many plants is that in the first pic, @Grohio?

Great Lakes genetics has cherry queen.

They also have Peach Hashplant in stock which surprised me so I snagged a pack of that and dazzleberry lol

Ah, that Cherry Queen looks great! I snagged a pack of Mandana(Cherry Queen x X18) off an auction today and now I wanna put it in the rotation soon.

Looks like the Cherry Queen is also in stock at jbc.

You were lucky to pull that off

Man, I was set on the Hashplants, why do you have to put doubt in my mind? :slightly_smiling_face:

But seriously, wasn’t OMG longer-flowering and stretching? I’m growing in tents so I need rather compact plants.

Thanks for the responses, appreciate it. By the way the seeds were ordered from Attitude, another pack from the same order from different breeder had dismal germination rate so I wonder…
