Thanks again for the updates, and I don’t think you can ever share too much info, it’s always good to have this stuff to look back on for future reference.

I’m not sure exactly what those spots with hairs will be, I know when I’ve revegged a plant before, it’s put out leaves that look to have some bumps on them, not quite like trichs but with you saying they’re not visible to the naked eye, I’m really not sure what they are.

Yeh, @HorseBadorites f2s are the ones I made.
That SoulFood cross sounds interesting, I’ve grown 2 different 88g23hp genetics from Bodhi and theybe both really impressed.

@supershitfuck
I grew a Dank Sinatra f2 (from @nube ) and a Mango Hashplant, both actually looked pretty similar , with dense and compact buds. Wonderful smoke on the pair of them, but both quite different in flavours and aroma.

Day 10 of flower.

Bud sites are forming nicely on all 3 now.
#2 still my favourite so far, giving off a really sweet lime on the main stem, hoping that translates to the final bud

Today I mixed up a topdress of malted barley, powdered egg shell, insect frass, vermicompost and Kelp meal, watered in with plain water.

#3

Clones from #2 have taken root now as well, so if this turns out as good as think it will, I’ll be able to make some s1 fems with the clone cuts.

Side note.
Had a bit of an outbreak of fungus gnats, and spotted what appears to be a thrip or two last week, so I’ve sprayed leaves with a mixture of Dr Bronners castile soap, apple cider vinegar and touch of aloe powder twice in last week… I don’t want to over do that going into flower now, but we’ll see what happens.

The top inche or so of soil has been left to dry out in-between watering and I’ve sprayed with a Neam oil solution once a few days ago, will repeat that couple more times and hopefully keep the gnats under control.

Nice! Day ten of flower, only fifty or sixty more days to go haha…

Careful with spraying the soil surface/mulch with neem oil. I’ve heard that it can have negative effects on the soil life. I don’t know if that’s a fact, but I’ve read that. Whenever I do a foliar (which isn’t often), I always lightly mist the mulch, too, and never noticed any adverse effects, but it’s not like I have a microscope or anything haha.

Yeh, I haven’t been soaking soil with the neam solution, it’s definitely more of a spray that a full saturation.
I’d heard some negative talk about neam oil too on other forums, but I’ve also heard Jeremy from BaS say that it’s BS lol so hopefully he’ll do a good deep dive vid on that topic and see if we can clear it up once and for all.

Haha, day 10 lol. Harvest always seems so far away at this point!
Luckily I had 3 smaller plants that are at week 5 now, so they’ll be getting chopped in a few weeks.

Dude, you’re a lot closer than me. I’m transplanting into seven-gallons on Tuesday, give ‘em two weeks and then flip. And I’m growing a lot of 12-16 week stuff this round, probably won’t be chopping until early/mid-March haha.

Looking good! I’ve got my favorite soul mate in my 3x3! Dead ringer for the pinesol mother.

If your having pm issues let me recommend powdered sulfur sprayed with water before flower . That and sulphur vaporizing tents .
Or neem oil before flowering . Never both(ask me how I know this)

Both last a good 4-5 weeks. long enough to take care of most of the fungus .

Battled that shit for 2 years and the above coupled with a 20 inch box fan with an allergen furnace filter taped to the back, running on low wherever you can fit 1. This was how I beat it . Don’t wish that shit on anyone.

I tried the uvc found it way too harsh on the leaves, and my eyes/lungs. I still use it when tent is empty.

I’ve had fungus gnats for as long as I can remember, I stopped battling them (only sticky trap) and now they’ve reduced to a few now and then.

  • Simply water less, don’t give them water until they start wilting.
  • Check how many days that takes.
  • Then after that, start watering after the same amount of days minus one day.

The fear of insects and the accompanied “solutions” do more damage than anything, lol.

Overwatering is one of the main causes of trouble. These plants grow in the desert.

probably some of the most solid advice ive heard in a while. im 100% guilty of watering too much/too often. you’d think i’d have learned by now

I have found that using both hyopasis miles and nematodes are all you need to keep gnats at bay in living soil.

“I tried the uvc found it way too harsh on the leaves, and my eyes/lungs.”

I’ve been using a Cleanlight Pro for a couple of years. I grow in a crawlspace cluttered with mechanicals, and bunch of other stuff, so it’s been my best option.

If I do it daily, I don’t see pm.

It can be harsh on the leaves. I’ve found only sweeping the top surfaces, and from about a foot away, doesn’t mess with the leaves too much, unless they are older, lower fan leaves. In my mind, they’re sinks anyway, so no big loss.

But, I’m curious about the UV-c being harsh on your eyes and lungs. I wear UV-c glasses, and gloves when I’m sweeping, and haven’t noticed any problems…with either eyes, skin, or lungs. Should I be waiting for another shoe to drop?

As far as gnats, yellow sticky traps face down towards the medium has worked the best for me… and I’ve tried a lot of things. Takes a couple of weeks sometimes, but if you catch the fliers, eventually there’s no eggs to hatch… then no more fliers!

And, a couple of sprays with Spinosade whacks thrips.

Well… we have to take someone’s advice, and i chose to trust whatever jeremy says haha

Thanks for chiming in everyone!
I sprayed the leaves with another solution of Dr Bronners castile soap and apple cider vinegar today to hopefully take care of any thrips…if that’s what they were, not to combat pm, I’ve never had any trouble with pm thankfully.
It looks like the gnats are getting under cotrol with addition of a lot of traps lol.

Here’s a little look at one of the Soul Mate f2s that I just couldn’t bring myself to throw away lol.
I started flowering this one in a 0.3gal pot 5 weeks ago in a separate cupboard, while the tent kept on vegging.
I believe this has also been seeded by the Gasoline Dreams Males that I was flowering in the same space. So weed and seed!
With the Gasoline Dreams being a Soul Mate x Strawberry Diesel, this means its sort of a like a bx lol.

Also wondering if anyone can correctly identify this little guy. My 10gal Containers all have quite a few if these running wild, but I was surprised to see 2 or 3 of them in the 0.3gal

Yeah bro. I know that little guy. His name is Sam and he owes me $20. Squish him. :beers:
