I disagree about the GHash dad producing shorter, squatter plants. None of the GHash crosses I’ve grown have been like that. They’ve all been kind of OG-ish. Or what I’ve seen about OG growth characteristics online, anyway. Wide gaps between internodes, golf ball-type nugs… I didn’t really notice it while they were growing, but when I was trimming both the Goji and the Time Bandits, I was like,”Holy shit, there’s an eight inch gap between one branch and the next.” On some of the branches. They weren’t all like that, but still…
Either way, that GHash dad produces some killer bud, even if the yields aren’t all there. I smoked some more of that #2 Time Bandit last night. Got in bed and realized I was baked as fuck and hungry. Made a roast beef sandwich with TWO slices of Swiss cheese. Finished it. Still hungry. Ate a bowl of Honey Nut Cheerios haha… Good weed for sure.
Oh, yeah, dude, there’s zero difference between the RNC and the DNC. They’re both beholden to their donors and couldn’t care less about the rest of us. And all their donors care about is not paying taxes and screwing their employees. As long as that happens, they’ll donate to whomever. Democrats, Republicans, they can count on whoever they pay to get elected doing what’s best for them. And them only. Having said that, there IS a difference between Biden and Trump, despite what everybody’s saying. I’ll be holding my nose as tightly as I’ve ever held it, but I’m gonna vote for Biden. Trump just suuuuuuuuucks…
Anyway, yeah, the Goji seems pretty dang good. The final seal was actually yesterday, moved it up a couple days, just because they were feeling a little too crispy. Put those Bovedas in the jars and tightened the lids. I noticed the #9 had like a real “mushroom” thing going on with the way it smelled before I sealed up those jars. Which was weird. I’d just been reading a grow report on one of the strains I’m growing now, I think it was the Starkiller, where the dude mentioned that it ended up smelling like psilocybin. I was like,”Hm… Never heard of that before…” And then literally an hour later, as I was throwing those Bovedas in the jars, noticed that that’s exactly how the #9 was smelling. I’d noticed an earthy/peat moss thing earlier, but this was definitely straight-up mushrooms.
I like mushrooms, throw them in my pasta all the time, but I really hope that the #9 doesn’t end up smelling like that. Hopefully it’ll change in the jars the next few weeks.
This is why we need to remove lobbyists and lobbying from our political system. The corporations funnel money into our government through all these ridiculous campaign donations and backdoor deals, in exchange for control or favoritism.
If corporations and the ultra-wealthy actually paid taxes equivalent to what they donate to political parties, they would be less of a parasite on our system.
I can’t comment on Bodhi’s '88 G-13/HP stud specifically, but I worked with GHash quite extensively 8-10 years ago when brother NDNGuy sent the seeds to me. In my experience, it is most likely not the parent that is giving Time Bandit any OG characteristics. The long internodal spacing, floppy branching and golf ball nugzz are all characteristics that are associated with OG Kush and Chemdog cultivars. I have been working with '88 G-13/HP in pure form again this year and it produces long, solid branches of buds. Most GHash phenotypes that I have come across this year smell more of lemon or citrus, rather than the burnt tires that I still recall so fondly. This is just my opinion based on experience with pure '88 G-13/HP and also other Chems and OGs, but I can’t call it factual by any means. Positive vibes…
Yeah, the pics of the straight 88G13HP that I’ve seen have definitely been classic hashplant-looking plants, with huge main colas, very little branching and shit. There’s one pic on the farm, actually, posted by Symbiote, I think, that’s just a straight-up straight-down hash-motherfukcing-plant. Zero branching.
I was basing my statement on my experience with Bodhi’s GHash dad, all of which seemed to exhibit OG traits and not hashplant traits. I guess maybe what people have said about that dad, that it lets the traits of the female shine through or whatever, is true. But maybe only in growth characteristics. I still feel like every GHash cross I’ve grown smokes pretty dang similar. Flavors might be different, but the highs all seem pretty related. That’s not a bad thing…
I was speaking on the Time Bandit and typed Goji OG. I think that started the confusion haha. My apologies. I edited my original post to thwart any future confusion. Positive vibes…
Yeah I know nothing on the ghash really, I’ve seen a bunch of it, I have a few crosses of it and Sebring’s recreation, but haven’t actually gotten to grow any of them yet.
My initial thoughts would be, that’s not surprising to see the OG pulling through hard in the cross.
I’ve always heard/read that the ghash tends to dominate a lot of crosses depending on the breeder, but to me, the OG structure is just so entirely different from that Afghani hashplant structure that I’d expect you’d need at least F2’s to start finding something much closer to the hashplant look. There’s just so many differences in the structure alone that there isn’t really a lot to overlap… Could also be some of those OG traits are just dominant genes while some of the ghash traits are actually recessive or even double recessive.
My only real, main, complaint with OG’s in general is the floppiness/weak branches and the crazy stretch causing super long 4-8" internode distances. So I honestly feel like the ghash could take the OG in the wrong direction if Fgen’d out and not carefully selected, but I’d think the potential to find absolute gold in there could be really high too. Again though, likely going to need F2+ to find it.
Yeah, I dunno. All’s I know is that every Ghash cross of Bodhi’s that I’ve grown have exhibited very similar growth characteristics (wide internodes being the main thing). The Clusterfunk was probably the tightest of the three I’ve grown, but that Golden Triangle/GHash tester and now these Time Bandits grew really similarly.
Whatever. Still good weed. I’m not complaining, just observing.
@OleReynard
Nepoji is Goji x Nepalese (which Nepal I don’t know - I’ll ask)
just looked it up and " the Nepoji was a tester Bodhi sent out years ago but never released, Nepali Og x Goji F3"
It’s not politics, it’s growing cannabis yall. I have very strong feelings about all this myself, but I have also seen time and time again where this conversation has no positive outcome. Please leave it for the shark tank
Im sitting on packs of both time bandit and copas f2 goji freebies, was going to run some hipster shit this winter (runtz crosses, not the exotic drops) but this thread got me seriously thinking twice, goji looks like the perfect weed and the time bandit smoke report oh man great job @minitiger
